    Yet some F2P games still manage to do a better job of enforcing bots then XIV does...somehow.

    Hmm yeah, WoW had the same problem, even with a subscription cost there was a ton of bots and hackers plaguing the game. Making free trial is also something that allows them to infest the game without any worries. Just gotta report everything you see. I think they have a team too that watches and observes those botters to find the main source and shut it down. I play on a congested server myself, so i don't really see any bots or gilfarmers in chat since they can't make any new accounts, however allowing server visits may have opened a way for them to continue their operations without consequences.

    All servers have an abundance of DoL/H/FATE bots from what I've seen/experienced. The RMT spammers are just the the least subtle type.

    WoW wasn't free of bots by any stretch, but I got more bots there banned with reports in the span of a few weeks then I've managed in over three years of XIV.
