To put in XIV context, you want your ilvl 450 weapon? Instead of doing Titania EX you need to do frontline. You want your 450 accessories? You get to go play tripple triad in the gold saucer. And so on. That is horrible design. While it would get people to try other content they might not normally do, it will also piss a number of people off in the process.

PvP content should not reward high end normal gear. Mini games should not reward high end normal gear. High end normal gear should come from high end content (which I also think don't always need to reward it) or skilled crafters (which tend to be neglected ovetall).
Except PvP is an integral part of WoW's gameplay philosophy and endgame, you cant just relegate it into the same category as a "minigame." Yes it would be ridiculous to gain high level gear from frontlines and the golden saucer but guess what, those aren't integral parts of this games endgame.
