I was thinking maybe they could reduce the cast time of Gravity to 1.5 like Malefic, which would make weaving cards / oGCD easier while AoE’ing. Would help give it that ‘something’ to set it apart from Holy / Art of War too, though admittedly not much since it’s not like a reduced cast time would give us more casts due to GCD not being affected (just frontloads Damage)
After lvling up scholar I have noticed some differences when it comes to astro. When it comes to ast low damage its mainly cause scholar has insta aeo 130 dmg to all while gravity is 150 but it casts like 5 seconds lol. And the fact that sch heals are 2x more powerful than ast so most times I spend my time dps or let faerie heal the tank but with ast you can't do that.
Since ast heals are the worst out there we should atleast have a stun or slow aeo and second mp gain skill like all the other healers have. Even our dmg buff isn't the best...
Dungeons now are so much easier with sch so I imagine using whm is gonna be even more easy. But I do find it sad sch/whm can both solo heal quite fine but I really can't imagine with ast
Indeed, as SCH main, i tot i can play nocturnal AST, but in big pull everything crumble so fast... I failed to sustain all my pt health especially when mistakes happen and dps get to critical health.
Imo AST forced to play diurnal in most of the dungeon, something is needed for AST, maybe deff buff?
But this is only my experience in lvl 50 dungeon since my AST still lvl 55
I'm sorry if this had been discussed before. I just started focusing on leveling my AST to 80 and I noticed something weird but I'm not sure if it was a bug or it was something I missed from the tooltips.
So I noticed a few times that my seals just suddenly disappear? Like, after using my card, I see it in its corresponding seal slot but then after a while, it just... disappeared. Let's say I had 2 seals and used 1 card. I gained that seal and I see it in its spot. But then after running a bit further in the dungeon, it disappeared. I wonder if it was a bug or there was something that I missed in the tooltip?
Also, I'm sure this is the general consensus and had been discussed to bits but Divination is not fun at all especially in dungeons. The CD is too long for something with a short duration. Sometimes, I would get all my seals but Divination is still on CD and I can't draw any new cards for fear of overwriting my seals (well, I guess I could but eh). And I also hate the Play button omg...
While the new card system is straightforward, I miss the old one. And I miss Celestial Opposition that could stun. There was just something soo satisfying about the tank pulling a huge mob and you stun them once the tank stops pulling.![]()
You have those backwards, Gravity is 130 + ranged, Holy is 140 + stun, Art of War is 150 + instantAfter lvling up scholar I have noticed some differences when it comes to astro. You are supposed to dump every card into minor arcana as soon as you got your 3 seals, that way you dont have to stop drawing cards. About the bug you mentioned, i think you may just think it does this? Ive played AST a lot so far and never saw any seal disappearing.I'm sorry if this had been discussed before. Have yet to see them disappear but I've been in combat (at the start) and not have them apply the seal.
More than once.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Indeed, i experience it too, its usually the final seal. I've been wondering what have i done wrong... Getting the right seal but it did not apply, twice in a row
This might be because the player you give the card too also has to be in combat, not necessarily the case, but something to keep an eye one at the start of encounters
