For the same reason they made Viera in the first place: fan service, fantasias sells, etc. Actually, female Miqo'te, Auri and Viera are in different niches and have quite different auditory with different styles even though they all look similar, and my "looks at their rates" here goes more to the fact that playerbase overall seem to like handsome looking options more than everything else (which is kind of understandable in case with males tbh because most of MMO have horrible choices for male characters with waifu-cutewaifu-sexywaifu-everywhere for females).

Interesting view. I've found that female characters tend to have less choice in appearance options. There are all sexy-cute while the men tend to have a greater range. Well, except for WoW. Every guy there is an unshaved ape.
