I've changed to viera, but the price of the fantasia and the big amount of limitations, hairs, gears, animations and voices are a big thumb down to the race. Seems a pretty gohorse job on the race. #judgeme

To make it easier to look at the data, I made some tables.



Out of the female races, Roegadyn and Elezen were hit the hardest, both losing 10% of their population. Au Ra also lost a lot at 8%, but they still vastly outnumber both Roegadyn and Elezen. Lalafell only lost 2%, which doesn't surprise me too much. One of the biggest reasons why people play Lalafell is because they're tiny, which is something Viera doesn't offer. It should come to no surprise that the top 3 are the "waifu" races. I'm sure it's going to stay this way until the game is finally shut down.



Most of the male races actually saw an increase in their population. Except for Roegadyn, which was hit hard, losing 10% of its population.

Roegadyn are exceptionally rare now. Think of it like this. There are more Hrothgar out there (23,307) than there are male and female Roegadyn combined (22,682). The people who were worried and expressed concerns about the Roegadyn population being thinned out by Hrothgar and Viera were absolutely right.

I'm amazed that Hrothgar is really close to Elezen numbers, despite having limited hairstyles. I guess this proves Yoshi P's point about people wanting a beastial race in the game. I expected Viera to suprass Au ra and Miqot'es, though.

Imagine how high their numbers would be if people got free Fantasia phials.

Considering that "other" race is outnumbered by bunnies 100 to 1, I'm going to go out on a limb and say maybe Square shouldn't have even bothered with that male only race and just made male bunnies.

That "other race" isn't female, which a majority of active players play as, so there's zero evidence male Viera would do much if any better.

Hmm? Did I miss a math class? Cause by my math even the least played thing in the game isn't out numbered by Viera 100 to 1. If you're talking about Hrothgar then Viera are 3.5 times more played.
I really wish Viera Male fans would stop being butt hurt over something that's over and done. Oh look, a beastly race of big dudes is as popular as male elezen and more played than female elezen and the combined genders of the only other big race in the game ... a successful new addition to the race line up. And look, only male race to see a decrease in numbers are the roebros by 2k meaning that many of the people adding to the increase in males are prob new players. But w/e, we shoulda gotten bunny eared elezen because reasons.

I never was interested in changing my character in a bunny.
Miqo'te's are way cuter than the bunnies in my opinion.
I also love Au ra's.
I still do not know what race is better in terms of visuals: Miqo'te or Au ra?

Do you have character physics set to full? I am not sure if it applies to ears for Viera, but mine seem pretty bouncy when I run. (That being said, shorter ears seem bouncier for some reason).
