Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

As someone who has always really liked the idea of playing an Elezen, but then instantly regrets the fantasia, Viera are definitely a bit of "Elezen done right" to me.

I've always wanted them to have softer/rounder features (like Aymeric & the twins), better proportions, and perhaps remove that stick from their bums while they run.

Insert Viera! They've got the height and the more serious personalities like Elezen, but they were able to remedy the things I didn't like about Elezen.

Now obviously these are different races, and I feel that they do look/act different enough to not be a problem - but when you compare the two side by side, it's not a MASSIVE difference. If they gave male Viera the same type of "upgrade", I think that could work quite well.

Just a couple of examples for you:



These aren't perfect comparisons - the first picture was taken with both of their faces looking straight at the camera. The stances are a bit different, so I think it's a bit harder to gauge from this angle. For the second set, I had the clever idea to make skin/hair match better, and also tried to have their navels in the center in order to get a more accurate shape comparison. Again, not perfect, but at least will give an idea

This is a good comparison. It really does look like the female viera model is based off the elezen model here, and I think if male viera were to be added, they will probably be based off an elezen model as well. I just think that's what they will do most likely. From what I noticed, the female viera have less broader shoulders than the elezen, as well as a bigger head, and shorter neck. That really makes all the difference, and it looks great. When I get a chance, I'll draw up a male elezen to male viera comparison.

Everyone can like what they want, so lets just not try to put down another view just because they are not your beauty standard.

You are misunderstanding. In the case of posting your own artwork to just show your support, I have not seen people shutting down and debating over that except mine. Probably because it's me lol

I'm not going to change the OP because I do not want to have to update the OP every time some kind of news comes out. Even now, I'm getting people telling me to update the OP to include everyone's fanart. It's a good idea, but I prefer a more hands off approach for topics. In fact, I regret editing my OP in the first place. In my original viera thread, I did not edit the OP - I did this on purpose. Even though at times I did want to edit my post, I refrained from doing so because I wanted the OP to remain untouched. In this thread, I did edit the OP due to a lot of requests to do so. However, I'm not going to do that anymore. The last edit to this OP was on 04-02-2019 and I do not want to touch it anymore. Just let it be. I'd like for this to be the last time I address this subject.
