Honestly, reading some of these comments makes me think that this game is not for me anymore and that people have grown so silly and lazy and selfish. It is Wrong to level with the wrong gear in an MMO. Yes, there are different steps as to how wrong it is depending on what level of content you are in. But I personally have always felt that I need to be as up to date as possible with my gear. Not only to give myself a better experience, but also the people I come into contact with. The people who defend players not excercising basic ettiquette are selfish and toxic players. I've seen it plenty of times. If you do not respect your fellow player on such a standard level, in my opinion, you should just stick to offline games. How dare you think it's okay to just waste other people their time because you were too much of an ignorant person to gear properly? How dare you think that your skewed version of fun is more important than the experience and time of 3-7 other people?

I honestly can't believe what I am reading sometimes. Is this the direction the community will go in? I love almost everything about this game except for the community. It always tends to trivialize or downright defend poor, ignorant or downright lazy gameplay. Some of you should feel absolutely ashamed of yourselves. It doesn't take much to wear appropriate gear. If you don't wear appropriate gear, you are not curious enough, you don't care enough or you don't actually read what the game is telling you to do. That is a legitimate reason to get kicked and I praise the sweet Lord that there have been people in this thread who support the idea of getting rid of selfish players like that.

I actually needed to put this vent out. It does not matter how much DPS we lose, how much time we lose. It's only a byproduct of the real reason why people like that should be kicked. It's because they don't care, they aren't smart enough to do as the game tells you or they want to spite a party. It's not more fun to wear STR as a Black Mage, unless your version of fun is making life harder for your party members. Don't be that guy. Play responsibly.
