Welcome to the FF14 forums. Where people go to get overly dramatic about stuff.Wait... so you flat out quit the game over changes you haven't played yet? You don't even know WHY said change was made do you? Well that's silly of you to do. How would you even know the change you want is even in place if you flat out threw out your game? Seems abit like over acting if you ask me.
...where people go to express their deeply held opinions about a game that they pay for and care about.
I'm never goign to say you need to be content... I'll never tell you you need to shut up or anything like that. What I will say and I KNOW I know people hate hearing it. I know it's stressful, but I strongly believe the changes to AST's cards was a needed change. Mainly cause what they are changing has never been done in this game before. The simple removal of TP means everything changes atleast on that level. And we as of right now can't know how that feels. Unless you've played the game already you can't know. And sadly you can't even compare it with the releash of SB cause SB didn't remove a system so tied to the background of the core gameplay like SB2 is doing. This is legitly one of those cases where instead of instantly screaming we should wait and poke at the changes before we throw the game out. Cause right now you're asking for a change you don't have all the facts for.
I've been maining WHM since 2.0. Since Live Letter LI I've switched to BLM and haven't looked back. I would love for all of us to be wrong and for healing to be fun in Shadowbringers, but as it is I just don't see it.
Why feel the need to try guilt-tripping people who are looking forward to the changes? I'm looking forward to trying out new SCH and AST. I really do understand why people are upset, but like... let people be enthusiastic about stuff.
Just like every expansion. Changes will drive current players of certain roles and jobs out of it and at the same time bring more players that enjoy the new styles and tools in. Don't try guilt trip the devs for you not liking the healer changes, thankfully the job system is amazing and you can simply play something else that you enjoy.
I'm glad there are suckers out there who will still be healing, truly. I need you to que as often as possible to level my dps jobs please. Because I know I'll never have fun with the SCH as is--it's dps kit has been gutted and it's 'pure healing' is way too boring on it's own. So, I'm glad to hear you'll still be playing the SCH and AST; have fun!
I'm glad there are suckers that will still be playing these cookie-cutter jobs despite the huge nerfs to the dps aspects that actually made them interesting. After 5.0 the differences between the three healing jobs is basically cosmetic anyway, so if that interests you--great. I'm sure you'll have fun dropping healing bombs on people hugging around 80% health while throwing rocks at things waiting for it to die. More power to ya.
I'll not be touching SCH again--the changes these devs have forced onto the class look like complete garbage...the aoe dps kit will be greatly missed, but it is what it is. But, I'll definitely need you lot to que as often as you can to heal for my Black Mage and SAM!
My dude, all you've done is tell people their opinions are wrong for the last few days. People are allowed to be disappointed. You're no more right than anyone else.
