Moreover real amazonian hunters look like this:I am not really sure why someone being a fierce protector of the forest (which seems to be only in the english translation?) means that they have to be huge and really muscled men? Look at top pretadors in the jungle, a lot of them are lean and not bulky at all because if you are huge and bulky you may not be able to be stealthly. In the end what we know is, that they are not seen and kill you before you notice them. This could easily be someone large but still lean because they just need to be quick and silent to kill from the shadows.
Of course you could argue that this is a fantasy game thus they can also be silent as big muscled men..sure, that is true, but you can also use the same argument and say that they can be large and lean and be fierce protectors of the forest. Nothing in the lore should dictate their look since they are not seen anyway thus could be whatever SE wants them to be. (The only thing we know is that the children look the same until a certain age)
In the end I would not rage or anything if they happen to be that way some want them to be, because I would just be happy that they are in the game but in my opinion we already have three huge and muscles races (Roe, Hrothgar, Au Ra) and only Elezen as the large but slightly lean option. So for me this would fit just better in that part. But again just my opinion!
Rather than Conan the Barbarian(see below). These people who say they should be tall and body-builder crazy muscular are not really convincing.

Not much activity there. Just the "GJ"(Good Job). I'm guessing he'll be commenting a couple more when Minafumi posts the next mViera art, just as he said he would.
Oh, minafumi is going to draw more male viera? I will keep an eye out then. Is Matsuno requesting this as some kind of commission or personal request?
And what exactly is minafumi's relationship with the final fantasy series? Concept artist or something?

As I recall, he said he would refine the art he posted so it's not just "tights". Not really sure if he's gonna create a different art from the previous one or just edit it.
Minafumi(Minagawa Fumio) is the author/illustrator of the FF14 4-panel manga, Juuyon-koma. He also published the FF11 Minagawa Fumio art book.

That top one is the exact body type I expect mViera to have now.
Not many straight men are rallying around for male Viera to have twink bodies, long flowing hair, skimpy clothes, and high heels I'm afraid.

I don't have enough posts in the day, certainly not right now, to explain to you what a joke, or for that matter sarcasm is.Before you pipe up with maybe saying I'm 'ignorant' or various other words of this ilk, I'd like to point out I get the reference to Conan in the statement you say but "he-man aesethetic"?
I could of understood a reference to Dolph Lundgren in is portrayal of He-Man in the live action movie way back when.
Eh, I'll guess I will start telling people I'm 'totally in the barbie aesthetic' when talking in terms of physique.
I understand if you may feel strongly about the he-man comment. If you are questioning, curious, or simply in the closet about your sexuality.. it is okay! It is 2019, wear it with pride! There is nothing wrong with being gay, whether you are or not, but if you are honesty is probably the best release for it. You will end up feeling better in the end for it!
