Shouldn't it be the other way around? Rugged, jungle assassins, with maybe some graceful options? Considering they are jungle assassins

Well, I wasn't putting one above the other. In my mind, I'd picture them with equal options for both. Or at least a substantial amount of options for both that it wouldn't matter if it was a bit uneven.

I mean, unless you mean to say there should be very little in the way of graceful options, in which case I have to ask, why would you want to take options away from people? That doesn't make any sense. IF that's what you meant anyway.

I also have feelings, I want my character to represent me as a very masculine man. The same sympathy or understanding that people have for the LGBTQ appearance I would like to have that same sympathy and understanding.
The biggest difference is I'm following the lore and the look the devs already created for them; the other side seems to forgo any kind of lore and art to make an entire race represent LGBTQ.

I've been waiting for the Viera race (both genders) to be added for over 5 years and I wanted it to look as manly as I am.
Clothing/make up (things you add to yourself) like in real life, is what defines your gender identity, not how skinny/short you are.

PS. Female Viera are misunderstood as elegant. They're not elegant anything, they're amazonian warriors with grace.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not talking about body options here. I'm talking about face and hair options. But that's my fault, I wasn't very clear with that point. If they give us face options that are graceful and face options that are manly, I'd be satisfied. I'm not in any way saying they should exclude manly options, I'm saying they shouldn't add exclusively manly options.

As for body type, I'm ok with them being muscular actually. Just don't make them Roegadyn or Hrothgar size, because that wouldn't fit Viera in my opinion. I actually kind of picture them having a form similar to Highlander or Au Ra.

PS: I still can never look at a female Viera and think Amazonian warrior. To me, they seem the exact definition of dainty, but I mean, it suits them at least. :/

PSS: I also don't understand this us vs them mentality so many of you have adopted. mViera could very easily be added in a way that those wanting graceful/elegant appearance and those wanting rugged/manly appearance could be satisfied. It really doesn't have to be one or the other at all. Demanding SE to give us options for just one and not the other is just so counterproductive.

Just because its not good now doesn't mean its not gonna be good at launch. You have to realize that there are going to be a bunch of new hair styles that are probably gonna be in the Aesthetician that are not in the CC in the benchmark for both Viera and Hrothgar.

I still have hope for the female Vieras but Hrothgars have their hairstyle fixed with the face. So they would need to change the ingame way to change hair otherwise people would need to pay money to change the hairstyle and that would also change the face. Which also increases the "same face" syndrom for them quite a bit.

In the end even if they are restricted I still want both missing genders for these races in the game and maybe later in other expansion they could expand on the character creator. (One can dream right? v_v)

Oh so you meant facial options, a few manly and a few "young" faces for male races is a standard already. Yes, that's a good solution for those wanting a young/baby face option and for those wanting a manly face.

Yes,as far as height/body mass, they would have to either be like male Elezen/Au ra or stronger, anything below that is crossing into comedy. Because nothing's more comical than delicate bishounen men having to protect an entire nation by themselves. Specially considering how curvy female Viera already are, if your females have curves by extension you won't look like a stick either.

Before we go in circles too much, which happens a lot here, the dev art speaks for itself. They won't be short, skinny, dainty, baby face jungle warriors (a young face or two is fine but it needs to be based on the Viera face proportions, strong jaw-strong nose type).

Judging by the concept art, Yoshida's description, Matsuno's description, and now this allegedly commissioned tweet, we have a rough idea how male viera would look. The devs and Matsuno seem to already have an idea for the design of male viera, and I think we should respect that.

I don't think he ever fully commissioned it in the way you're thinking. I think he said it would be neat to see this persons take on a male Viera but not as in, "Give me a design."

I am not really sure why someone being a fierce protector of the forest (which seems to be only in the english translation?) means that they have to be huge and really muscled men? Look at top pretadors in the jungle, a lot of them are lean and not bulky at all because if you are huge and bulky you may not be able to be stealthly. In the end what we know is, that they are not seen and kill you before you notice them. This could easily be someone large but still lean because they just need to be quick and silent to kill from the shadows.

Of course you could argue that this is a fantasy game thus they can also be silent as big muscled men..sure, that is true, but you can also use the same argument and say that they can be large and lean and be fierce protectors of the forest. Nothing in the lore should dictate their look since they are not seen anyway thus could be whatever SE wants them to be. (The only thing we know is that the children look the same until a certain age)

In the end I would not rage or anything if they happen to be that way some want them to be, because I would just be happy that they are in the game but in my opinion we already have three huge and muscles races (Roe, Hrothgar, Au Ra) and only Elezen as the large but slightly lean option. So for me this would fit just better in that part. But again just my opinion!

I'm not going to try and guess his emotions, but I am going to guess what "GJ!!" means. I think it's "good job!!".
