I mean you can disagree all you want, but working as intended is working as intended.I'm sorry but I have to disagree. The people who put in the effort and work should be rewarded for it. Not the person who gets lucky by being near the spawn. ESPECIALLY when it takes an hour to spawn. This will only get worse as time goes on and IL inflates. If this is by design or "working as intended" then it needs to change immediately.
I'm not saying I like it either, but I work with what I'm given here. And if we can rationalize it as such, we get less angry about things when it happens.

Here's the problem Elise, dont get me wrong I can sort of understand the sentiment. However when the Balmung group acts like a bunch of prats when they got called out by purposely listing the pos of a B rank and telling the server they were on they can have that after getting called out on screwing up 2 organised hunts that's where it becomes an issue.
If they had been cool about it no harm no foul they didnt know etc., etc.

I don't agree with the idea that it's law that hunts are free for all. Some servers like ours have a community where (mostly) everyone works together to maximize the rewards everyone gets. World visits make it so our world is really our own any more so our way of handling things is totally ignored and we don't have any choice in the matter. We lose a lot and it damages our community and causes a lot of frustration for everyone. The who pull on sight are often trolls who like spreading grief and have no regard for others. Well if we all behave that way so many of use lose the benefits of working together. But my ultimate point is we lose our ability to do things as we've done so long before world visit. And I've never heard complaints from reasonable people how our hunt community works. We should still how a choice in this on our own world and not suffer because people on other servers have no regard for how we do things. They try to spawn S ranks on our server and have no intention of including us. They should run their community the way they want on their own server and not interfere with ours. It's totally disrespectful to not respect what others have agreed upon by general consensus and just charge in cuz they think they own everything. What if we go to other server who do thing differently and demand and try to force them to do it like we do, we wouldn't do that, but would that be fair either. Hunts have a social aspect for us beyond the simple free for all idea just cuz intended something supposedly. Look at how even in Eureka Anemos we had generally large levels of cooperation many times. I don't think SE intended that. And SE can't predict everything people will do based on a narrow vision of what they intended.

People using the hunt sniffing programs are a huge problem now, because they're basically sending an instant relay to everyone on the entire data center who's using the thing (Or even just looking at the Discord where it automatically posts the information), which leads to a disorganized mass of hunters trying to pile in on a S rank if it gets detected.
Seen multiple hunts get picked off before their server was even aware of them because of this.
It's silly seeing "working as intended" over and over when for years players have been finding it far more enjoyable sharing the hunts and doing them together, as not intended. The early pullers and free for all are a tiny crowd, it just only takes one of them to spoil a hunt.
Whether Enix like it or not, the Hunt has practically become a daily routine for a huge community of players. Thousands of players enjoy hunting and sharing. Why are they so stubbornly insistent on tearing it down and neglecting it because they "intended" something we don't enjoy at all?
I definitely hope they change it.
Hunt sniffing programs? xD The only thing i know ppl use is the Ariyala Tracker and the Cable Monkey's Hunt Guide.
I'm in a Hunt LS in my server, unless the mob that's called is a A/S Rank in Stormblood areas, I don't bother going there anymore since it's almost instapulled lol. Sometimes they don't even call it out, they just post that an A rank died lol. Happened multiple times this morning xD.
I was helping pop a S rank at Churning Mist this morning and it popped and pulled 10 seconds later. Luckily i managed to squeeze myself into a party and fly there fast enough to hit it a few times before it died.
They need to buff all the A/S ranks so players would actually wait for ppl, regardless if its in ARR areas or Heavensward areas xD.

After having done a SB A rank train on Ultros I now understand what this dude is complaining about. Slowest train on earth.
Asking for restrictions to the world visit system admits there is an inherent problem with hunts, but rather than address that problem you're asking for a band-aid. What happens if the same players decide to switch to your server?
Syncing...well there are already hunts at max level. If they're dying too fast as it is, it shows that wouldn't be a fix.
If you can see a target, it's in your memory. Most will load and become visible when you get close to them, but S ranks and some FATEs have the targets load as long you are in the zone (they're visible from anywhere). Using tools that read the memory (against the ToS), players can be told when and where an S rank spawns the instant it does. One tool allows the user to automatically relay the position of the hunt to others that are using the same tool. In the worst cases, someone can AFK near possible spawn points, let others spawn the hunt, have the tools tell them the hunt was spawned and can kill the hunt before the spawners know what's happening. SE has known about radar for years and has done nothing to address it.
If hunts are alive for too long, the game will experience issues from all of the players zoning in. If the hunts live for only a little while longer, why ask for it under the guise of having more being able to participate?
If you're the conductor and your marks are being early pulled just link the area first, wait for everybody to load then link the exact spot.
Ie. Flag Next Mark: Azim Steppe(area only)
*wait till everybody arrives
*then link the exact coords
Agreed. Visitors should not be able to participate in hunts. If they want to hunt they should do it in their own world.
Though, I'd prefer they either buff hunts or level sync like they do with fates. At least then the ranks wouldn't melt quite as fast as they do.
