It's incredibly safe to assume, there was two of each, just like with the Au Ra video which is the only thing we can compare it to. As for every race's art distinctly depicting the difference? Really?
Which clans are these miqo'te then?
Or how about these Elezen? I can make a duskwight and wildwood look exactly like both of those.
Or the lalafell maybe? Sure only looks like plainsfolk to me.
The Roegadyn one certainly isn't showing a Hellsguard.
So, in fact the only racial art previously to clearly show both sub clans is the Au Ra one
and if you covered the horns/tails up, you'd be hard pressed to tell which was which, especially not on skin tone alone.
1 out of 6 is hardly grounds to claim every race art has depicted this. And if you had read the rest of my post, you would have seen that it's perfectly fine that Viera will have an overlap of skin tones because just about every player race does, even when they have completely different skin color pallet selections.
I'm discussing the artwork which new players are intended to see, and the default representations of the races in the character creator. Please consider this image, using the official renders of the two Miqo'te clans on the website, as well as the image you posted previously:
Also, the Au Ra teaser video distinctly shows us two clans. One has a set of dark horns and faded/darker skin, the other has white horns and lighter skin. The Viera teaser video BARELY has a range of tones.
EDIT: I should note, I could have done this with Elezen or Au Ra as well. I didn't specifically single out Miqo'te. The website and game distinctly show off clan differences.

I mean, I very clearly see two darker skinned Viera and two lighter skinned Viera. I feel like your desire for there to be more to the clans than that is clouding your judgment.
Thanks, I couldn't tell two were darker. :eyeroll: But by much? Not really. All I'm saying is the four depicted aren't different enough to say we've definitely seen both clans and people shouldn't be spreading that both clans were depicted as pure fact. They may as well all be Veena with how close their tones are, especially in the artwork (not the renders). I could care less how similar they are, man.

Well, you keep your hopes up that the actual clan lore they gave us is "surnames" ":eyeroll:" You "could care less" yet you're obviously passionate enough to keep posting on it.
It wasn't "hopes" it was speculation based on things I was thinking about, but sure. I could care less about the skin tones, I care about people spreading their thoughts and opinions as factual information, yes.

This went beyond opinion vs fact like 5 posts ago, now you're arguing about how much darker skin tones have to be to be a different clan, which is, by the way, your opinion.
I said nothing about how they "have" to be, thanks for putting words in my mouth. (Also thank you for correcting me about could care less, but you know what I meant.) I said "hey, SE does this thing when differentiating between race clans, but they barely did that here. hmm odd, maybe Rava and Veena aren't both here, can you not spread misinfo until its been confirmed?"https://www.quickanddirtytips.com/ed...ldnt-care-less

When sub clans can be differentiated as little as only having different eyes (Lalafell) then having slightly different ranges of skin tones is enough to constitute a sub clan, which they have shown examples of as well as spelling it out. We didn't know we were shown for a fact 2 different sub clans with the Au Ra until well after their video had dropped when it was spelled out for us on the official website (April 17, when the Au Ra video was at the end of March) and a lore dump on naming conventions on the official forums.
Them not having much differentiating them could be exactly the reason they decided to spend extra time developing additional customization for them such as optional bangs on their hairstyles.
