Yes, I understand where you're coming from. I got little wound up, so sorry about that. I wasn't around for Heavensward's release and was wondering if people viewed it that way at the time. All I'm saying is you shouldn't say it's fact that we've seen both until after the matter, mostly because they looked very unfinished in the teaser video (including lack of males). It seems improper to me to assume when the situation seems so different, since we might even have a gender-lock on our hands.

They aren't different enough. That sounds like you're making a definitive statement to me. Even in your post you said they "barely did that" which is still... opinion. To me it looks basically like two white girls and two black girls. The fact that the dramaturge specifically said light skinned and dark skinned then we see two of each in the trailer is more definitive to me than your opinion on how dark the dark skin looks.

Yes, a lot of what I say has opinions in it. I'm not saying there isn't. I'm literally only trying to communicate that it is not fact that Rava and Veena were both presented to us as they have not confirmed it yet, and I was using history of subrace presentation to show as much. I could very much be wrong, I'm not saying with any amount of certainty that the video definitely only displays Veena Viera.

Just drop expectations and think limited. There "could" be a bigger difference between Rava and Veena but there most likely isn't so just roll with it. You really think they'd do anything more than a different color palette?

None of those Viera females are dark-skinned. At most one is tan but she's in the shade. That said, I don't think it makes a difference - we can go from what the Dramaturge said to infer that the Rava/Veena differences are minuscule and overlap in palettes doesn't preclude them, in any event, from being two females from each subrace.

We will see, my prediction for two weeks from now: Two genderlocked races, Viera has two clans which are just a dark and light skinned version of each other. That is what everything I have learned so far from the game and leaks point me towards.

Man honestly leaks are probably the worst thing to happen to these forums, it makes everyone so frumpy and matter of factly. Just have fun with guesses, jeez.

Again I'm not saying I'm 100% right confirmed, I'm just pointing things out that are a bit inconsistent with the "NO THIS CAN'T HAPPEN EVER" mentality. I don't really care either way since race's never really mean much to me and I'll stick with what I have, I'm honestly more interested in the new job/GUN's trigger mechanic.

No just that a lot of responses since I left seem to just have a very condescending "You're stupid for thinking this" tone to them. I see where the subraces could be indisputable from each other, and I could also so see where they may be unique, my point was that we just don't know there's no need to be so dismissive was all I meant.

However there is clearly some mystery to what the viera are and will be. Them not mentioning the two clans while showing off the race is highly suspicious as I was around when you he aura were released they certainly made a point. Also the reaction of yoshi when mentioning the young eleven version of them is more of a tease to me and clever marketing for creating hype. The zipping of lips is also interesting and they certiainly have some surprises for us when it comes to the viera
