Gender locked race?

While I'm interested in Hrothgar I'm not keen if they look too beast like. If they're more like Byakko then I will probably switch over; I prefer my toons to look handsome and lean/muscular. I'd still be very irritated by the fact Hrothgar is genderlocked; if the male viera doesn't exist - bleh.

like do they even have tails if there so lion like will miqote cow tail become even more of a joke
but certainly wont give up hope on male viera or the fight for them

The seond biggest thing that bothered me about that teaser (the first being the absence of males, of course ) was how this race of aloof, almost feral warriors suddenly because lingerie models with an added giggle at the end...

And lets not forget that they have at least one female Au Ra emote. One of the Vieras was holding her arm in quite the cute way. Its really not showing that these are warriors but of course most playable females in this game have to be cute or the other extreme with Roe having too much muscles (for me at least)

The perfect female character for me would have been the original Au Ra art where they looked hot and fierce and maybe with a bit more scales on them. Sadly we got Anime waifus...they could have at least given the Xaela women the fierce threatment since they are living in harsh conditions.

Then I do wonder how far behind they are if they dont even have the emotes for them ready. I mean that fanfest was still not that far away from the expansion so it would be a bit strange for them to have not finished the race.

I think they're all using the same base face, just with different mouth/nose/jaw/eye options. They all have the same basic heart shape.

but its probably the angel and a different eye set
but the last 3 are basically 1 for 1

At least three of the faces shown look vastly different to me. Let's have a look from a different point in the reveal trailer.



1, 2 and 3 clearly look different to me though it's a bit harder to tell with 1 and 4.
