The good thing about the supposed new leak is we will know if it's more legit or not this Tuesday when Hydatos drops if the FFXI armor they claim that will be there turns up or not. Even then, they're easy guesses so it would only add a little bit of credibility.

Thats true. Yet, I would be careful with the leaks. Even if they're true, most of them are far off and a little different. Such as Omega M/F (Adam & Eve), Bluemage being level 60 (and support melee), calling them actually "bara cat race" while Blu calls them lions.
The same can be said, that they're the male Viera. They just guess, as they guessed "gunblader" being tentative name and blue mage being a preorder early access job. xD

Well, there's been more "leaks". Someone claiming to be the source of blufevers info has stated that there is a second male genderlocked race. That they're not Ronso, but described as 'bara cats'.

Half the leaks in that image were wrong anyway. The only credibility it has will be found out on Tuesday since they're claiming Kirin's Osode and Vermillion Cloak are glamour items from Hydatos.
If those items show up then you have your furry race.

There was another thing claiming those a while back. Allegedly from BluFever or possibly a copycat. Both with the same wrong info about BLU being melee DPS.

Wasn't there an official source that later claimed that during development, Omega M&F were referred to as Adam and Eve, but they decided to change that due to religious connotations?

hmm i had to look up both those items and seeing how their both body pieces it seems unlikely we'd get both i would find the Kirin's Osode more likely as the wind up tarutaru minion has the vermillion cloak on and i feel that will be it's reference in ffxiv we also have 2 minions left for the ffxi races to go as well an emote that i haven't seen from the website we also yet to have any leg or arm gear as an item from there.
I'm not saying it's impossible but seems unlikely we would get both

Personally, I think it’s likely that Matsuno has a veto against anyone making male Viera that I think Yoshi might be inclined to support, and we already know that apparently nearly all of Japan think male bunnies are “weird”.
Yoshi also said to look to the Ivalice lore for info on male Viera, and the lore in FFXIV RtI states that male Viera are so rare and reclusive they’ve basically never been seen by non-Viera.
So while genderlocking was a ‘mistake’ for Roes and Miqote, I think they might regard the Viera lore as superseding that…

The Wind-up Mithra is wearing the Scorpion Harness and we still got the Scorpion Harness in game as well. So just because a minion is wearing it doesn't exclude it from being given as a gear piece.

There's been lots of discussion in Japanese communities about them.
Surely you've seen all the art that's been floating about. There was even a thread in the JP forums full of people confused as to why they weren't being shown.
