Yoshi-P basically confirmed that the next job will be a Healer, when he was asked why Gunbreaker is a Tank. It was to presence balance. There is the possibility of 2 new jobs, but that seems unlikely.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
And you don't count blue mage cause be real now blue mage is not a job it's a side quest that's just made to look like a job.

The same can be said for healer like Regen/Shield healer.
Or for example, some don't want to play shield healer, some don't want to play pet healer, some don't want to play basic healer (whm), some don't want do deal with cards, etc.
Many healers don't have all the 3 jobs leveled because there are not interested to all of them.
I understand, that maybe because of the dps population and because a dps is maybe easier to design, their number are more important that tanks and healers.
But, I'am sorry, but at this point, 3 jobs compared to 9, it's just unfair.
The classification : 4/4/9 for 5.0 and 5/5/10 (with range dps) for 6.0 should be the thing, I hope (+ maybe BLU adding as true caster during 5.X)
I think another Tank and Healer in 6.0 is very unlikely.
In fact I think any more tanks or healers at all is very unlikely. While tanks and healers are currently in drought, the fact that DPS are split into different categories is also a factor to consider.
We'd likely see new melee and ranged physical jobs in 6.0.
What the melee job will be I can't say, either maiming or scouting most likely.
Then 7.0 might see a new caster and the other of maiming/scouting. Or if we're lucky a tank, healer and melee.

There is a very high chance that the 2nd job for SHB is going to be Dancer in the Healer role. So I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Welcome to the official forums were everyone bitches about everything and someone has to always derail positive posts, lolIs this all the forum is now? Person A makes a thread espousing an idea (or gets hijacked to do so), Person B doesn't like this and the idea of merely disagreeing in the original thread is just simply not enough no no they have to make their own thread disagreeing with Person A's dialogue, inciting Person C to argue against Person B and maybe make their own thread! Soapbox Forums XIV™: 1,000,001 Threads and 20 Topics!
But yeah if we get a healer it should be dancer. It's always been a support class, even up to its appearance in XI where it was support/debuff/heals with the ability to deal decent damage.

Not all healers want to play Scholar. Its the most unique of all the jobs, but its still an option within my role even if I don't play it often. If dancer is a physical healer, not everyone will like physical healers, but its still a healing option.By this logic, you still have 15 options for jobs, you just chose not to play some of them.
Like Valkyrie said, not all DPS players want to play every kind of DPS. I don't like playing physical ranged, so for me, I had no new job to try out for all the Heavensward expansion. The bard from my raid group doesn't like playing any melee job, so she won't have had a new job to play with for a full expansion with Shadowbringers. At this point, everyone has had to go through cycles of not having any new options for their preferred play style. I don't think healers should be asked to wait for two expansions for new options, but I will say that at this point in addition to healer, physical ranged is also due for a job (also not to mention that is actually the least represented playstyle only having bard and machinist)
