Lots of good stuff coming it looks like. Does anyone know where that new hair is going to be located at?

Any reason my BLU can't do deep dungeons?
I assume it's from the Ivalice raid, since it's Ramza and Alma's hairstyles. It looks like it might be a single gender-varied style though, since we've only seen each one modeled by characters of that gender. (There were other pictures on the 4.5 preview website that each had two characters showing off the hairstyle on different races.)
Right now the primary reason might be that BLU is limited to Lv50 but PotD goes up to Lv60.
Also, it doesn't have a normal "learn skill X at level Y" setup like the other classes, so it might not play nicely with PotD's leveling system.
Or it could be a permanent restriction so you don't walk in and Level 5 Death your way through the harder floors.

2 years later...
*Bluemage uses terraflare* *floor cleared* xD
How many people actually ever get to see the Return to Ivalice story content? Am I part of a tiny minority of players who suck too badly at the game to get through this game's raids without being carried (which is not an enjoyable experience in the least)? Or is it the inverse, and SE are just creating major story content that the majority will never see?
24 man raids were meant to be doable with random players.
As long as you have a decent level of awareness and understand what the different mechanic indicators mean, you shouldn't have to worry too much since the death of a few players rarely is going to cause a wipe.

That definitely hasn't been my experience. When I did Lighthouse there were a ton of wipes, and the whole thing was almost aborted (granted, apparently some players were apparently trolling and deliberately messing up mechanics), and I've been yelled at a lot in both 24 and 8 man raids. I guess I don't have a basic level of awareness.![]()
Wipes happen in the beginning because people are learning mechanics. It's pretty normal in my opinion so stick it out. To ask that story content not be locked behind more challenging content is simply not going to happen. Story is important but so is the fact that not all content has to be so easy to run that they eliminate it form the more challenging duties. That definitely hasn't been my experience. They are outside of a few changes. Planary Indulgence 30s change was much needed, Assize got a nice buff, and Cure III definitely needed the Enmity reduction, that one was a bit too powerful on the aggro gain. But the rest...yeah, waste of time.
It was not taken into a lot of mid to late game parties back in FFXI because it was so mana heavy that it ran out during longer fights. So in a sense, yeah, it was a staple of being one in FFXI.
If I can be a bit of encouragement, I generally will die a lot the first few times I run something I have ADHD and aspergers so I learn mechanics a bit slower than most people but I still figure things out in the end, just stick with it and you’ll be able to run it smoothly =) if people yell at you that’s on them not you, if you can try to bring in a few friends who are supportive of you to help drown out the negativityThat definitely hasn't been my experience.
