Not everything gets changed for good reasons. A good example of bad changes aside from the MSQ roulette cutscenes is how bad they made Pagos after Anemos.

Pagos was already finalised before they got feedback from Anemos. Which is why the issues weren't addressed until Pyros.

And Pagos is still an intolerable mess that left a permenant black mark on Eureka as a whole. The issues might've been addressed in Pyros, but Pagos is still bad.

EDIT: How about some other controversial changes too? Some people utterly loathe the simplification of PvP skills, some also hate the removal of chat in Feast. One really bad change they walked back hard on was when they didn't have any STR on tank accessories when SB released.

My point is, is that some changes can be good, but they can also be bad.

Disconnect, reconnect, cutscenes are skippable again.

Regarding players forcing newbies to skip cutscenes.

I had that happen to me, they forced me to skip the story and were all "Lol no, you are not allowed to experience the story in a story-based game, watch it at the inn instead if you want it that bad lol"

I say to them, why play the game? Just delete your accounts and watch it on Youtube instead, lol.
And if they are watching a movie? You are not allowed to enjoy the movie, just skip right to the end, lol.
Reading a book? You are not allowed to read it in order, read the ending first, lol.

Complaints about being issued these demands will be met with accusations of hypocrisy.
It is after all the same thing they have been inflicting on others, so they have no business being upset about it happening to them.
Getting upset about turnabout means you are a terrible person and you should feel terrible about yourself.

Then unskippable cutscenes becomes a thing and people blow a gasket over it, but at least the above is no longer an issue, or so i thought.
And now this exploit and right back to it. Because off bloody course people would find a way to keep stomping on the newbies.

Better. Just force the cutscene to start over for anyone who disconnects. That'll stop them quickly.

You know what? I was one of those rookies not very long ago - and I appreciated that I could watch those scenes guilt-free.

If you don't like that they are unskippable, don't run the damned things. It's not that complicated.

Hell, I don't run the MSQ more than once or twice a month simply because I just don't have the time to devote to it. You don't see me crying about losing out on the reward because of it....

Another case of min-maxers looking to dictate the terms of everything of an MMO, as usual....

When I tank or heal I will never tell players to skip cutscenes. If they want to see it they should see it. It only takes a few mins extra for me, but they will enjoy it more than me Also never ever force sprouts to skip or play as you want them to! Give advice is ok but never force your own playstyle on them
