So people are defending the msq dc exploit

Exploiting a failsafe, even if that failsafe isn't ideal, in order to ruin other peoples experience, can't be defended.
You don't go into a high end roulette and refuse to play because you're just RPing, you dont run as a healer and refuse to heal because "I'm a dps but wanted a quick queue", and neither should you run MSQ if you're not prepared to sit through the cutscenes, that's the deal, take it or leave it.

That saud, hopefully Trusts will be expanded, allowing newbies to run MSQ solo if they want, and then the MSQ roulette can go back to what it was, lower rewards and all.

Ever since this exploit was discovered people have been doing it non stop.

Only ever seen it used once and I believe we did not have new players that one time.

Can you blame the people for skipping the CS? No because they are way to long.
Is harrassing ok just because someone doesn't skip? No.
Should the stuff from there be solo content or should the CS be somewhere else? Yes.
Is the Roulette worth the hassle of watching CS? Absolutly not, there are way more things that you could do during this time.

Solution: Don't run the roulette if you don't want to waste time with CS and get your exp and tomes in another and less annoying way.

Last time i checked this was a story dungeon.As in it was designed for story and thus being a new player dungeon.I dont recall reading anywhere that they have changed the dungeon to be a place for level 70 players to farm tomes.The tomes are just there as a reward for older players participating and helping the new players clear content in the way it was designed to be enjoyed.
I havent seen any notes anywhere from SE stating it's ok to use a glitch to either force other players to use the same glitch or to deny new players of participating in the story content ie the boss fights.

Too many self entitled high leveled players in this thread who only seem to care about themselves and contribute to the toxicity that exists in duty finder.

Hopefully SE will start banning these players though i'd say they will only be able to ban players who have repeatadly broken the TOS with this glitch as players can get random disconnects from network issues and it would be bad to accidently punish them also.

The game is designed for new and old players and older players need to start remembering that because if you keep up the toxicity towards newer players you wil drive them away and eventually the game will start dying when older players leave and there are no new players to replace them.

The option was available BEFORE implementing this. You could have used party finder for "No skipping cutscenes" and go with that. You could get your friends/Free Company members join with you and not skip the cutscenes/not fighting while you watch them. You had options of not skipping cutscenes...or skipping cutscenes. There are no such options now.

The lone fact that this was not used is proof of how few people actually give a darn about watching the cutscenes and fighting the mobs as they go. In case you didn't notice, vast majority of the players (you included) that stand "in defense" of the rookie players...are far from being rookies. It's the unrelated people that want to be the white knights of the new players. There are few here or there, don't get me wrong. There are new players that enjoy this possibility...first time around. But mostly it's not. Mostly the defendants of this change have little to do with the audience it is for.

It's good if they are actually someone that runs those dungeons with those rookies, but there are most likely as many or more people that do not. That are just talking for the sake of showing themselves on a supposedly moral high horse.

As stated above, the way it was before led to far, far, far more people complaining about how they were unable to experience it due to everyone skipping and rushing ahead, than we have people today complaining about this.
The "defenders" of this might not be the "target audience", but thats because the target audience have no reason to come here to comment on it, because its working, while the "defenders" are here speaking from their experience, usually the experience of having their first play through ruined because of it. (or first few play through's, it took me three runs to see all the cutscenes because the next would be initiated before the current cutscene had finished, skipping it entirely, which resulted in them being 'unlocked' out of order)
Turn back the clock and watch those complaints come flooding back. It's not like they changed it for no reason.

PF is not an option, not only do most newbies at that stage not know about PF or how it works as its an endgame tool, but even if they did, they'd never find enough people to do Castrum or Praetorium.

The game isn't running out of new and returning players. MSQ roulette is rather important for catching-up (mendacity atm). Do people commented here have run them lately or during free logins? From what I've seen, people either are new or forget about the speed-run mechanics. It doesn't bother me as they -should- remember why they play this game in the first place. MSQ roulette isn't for speed-runs, it never was. The forced cutscenes are made to reinforce that, not to cause slow-runs. That's the fact. Last run I waited and pointed for 2 leafs as they got lost running all over Praetorium. You don't need cutscenes to play it, but seems some players need this restriction just to be kind to strangers.

Regarding players forcing newbies to skip cutscenes.

I had that happen to me, they forced me to skip the story and were all "Lol no, you are not allowed to experience the story in a story-based game, watch it at the inn instead if you want it that bad lol"

I say to them, why play the game? Just delete your accounts and watch it on Youtube instead, lol.
And if they are watching a movie? You are not allowed to enjoy the movie, just skip right to the end, lol.
Reading a book? You are not allowed to read it in order, read the ending first, lol.

Complaints about being issued these demands will be met with accusations of hypocrisy.
It is after all the same thing they have been inflicting on others, so they have no business being upset about it happening to them.
Getting upset about turnabout means you are a terrible person and you should feel terrible about yourself.

Then unskippable cutscenes becomes a thing and people blow a gasket over it, but at least the above is no longer an issue, or so i thought.
And now this exploit and right back to it. Because off bloody course people would find a way to keep stomping on the newbies.
