People found a way to skip MSQ cutecenes

Today in my MSQ roulette there was a person that was skipping cutscenes on the PC. I won't say how they were doing it but I'm going to assume this could/should be considered an exploit? They would pull the boss and lock everyone out of the fight as well.

Side question, what do people do when one person is just AFK at the start and no one else in the group will help vote kick them? Sorry but I don't like people freely mooching off the work I (and others) do.

I think that would be a bug rather then an exploit. I have no stake in the designation though, as MSQ is one of the roulettes i wont run. As for your side question, if you cant kick someone and cant abide them getting a free ride from your effort you dont have a lot of options. Waiting for them to get back and leaving are all i can think of at the moment. If they come back and refuse to help that can be reportable though.

The only way I'm aware actually requires you to mess with your operating system....by definition its an exploit as your defeating the mechanics SE put there (wrong or right) to avoid the whole thing in the first place.
A bug by definition is like a cut-scene hanging or not auto advancing or stuck. Some bugs become exploits.
Course this is my IT side talking here.
Report the guy if you want too.
Not much can be done about it aside from SE deciding to take action.

To be fair they should stop forcing us to watch the cutscenes. It solves nothing. People still want to rush, even more so now with these stupid forced cutscenes! I died because people wanted to rush and I couldn't activate the terminals for being beaten to my death. By the time I caught up again I was locked out the boss fight, and I was the tank!

All those people that moaned about not getting to watch the cutscenes, well now you get to watch them... over and over and over again until you're blue in the face.

I know of the method and I would personally consider it an exploit.

Personally, I treat MSQR and Eureka as opportunities to catch up on other things so I don't get the point of doing something that you can't even guarantee the 7 other people in your party would do, and that requires more effort/typing than just watching some anime.

I came back to the game yesterday after a multi-year hiatus and my brother said they solved the problem of starting starting the dungeon before all the players have finished watching the cut-scene.

Except, players were skipping it frequently and I was getting messages that the battle was starting in the midst of a cut-scene. I was wondering wth was going on.
