All that BLU hate is just absurd

Actually no, myself and many others who have been playing since the NES FF titles saw the changes as a betrayal of the franchise. Appealing to the lowest common denominator of gamers (the masses). The addition of action combat to arguably the best turn based RPG franchise felt like a betrayal to a lot of us.

I'd like to add on to this that XV shouldn't even be classified as an action game. The combat is very one dimensional and there's really little need for anything besides "Hold button to attack then switch to other button to defend" yes tit's a potential inefficient way to play the game, but the issue is that the option is there and that XV's combat system is just bad and gives players very little reward for variety besides "Well the battle's over quick enough", turn based or not.

That being said I really hope BLU doesn't end up being as disappointing as XV's combat was, even at it's barest levels if it was just going around and hunting monsters I could live with it. I just really hope the RNG isn't as bad as atma farming.

This is probably the best case scenario that a lot of critical people are hoping we end up with and are trying to get the devs to consider. I still find it objectionable to beta test jobs on paying customers.

It's not really beta-testing jobs if the jobs won't be allowed to join duty finder and are, by the dev teams own words, considered content and not a full job. This isn't beta-testing, this is just not a real "job" but "content".

EDIT: I will still play it either way. I'm just skeptical that a job can also be content.

To be honest I get why people are suspicious of this limited job thing, I also understand that it must suck for everyone that wanted this to be a proper job. The devs does not have the best track record when it comes to implementing new features, and if it is not popular enough they will either abandon it or lock a bunch of rewards behind it.
They have done this before and are likely to do so again.

I do of course hope that BLU is so fun that it changes the minds of all who now say nay. For 4.5 need any piece of good content it can get in order to keep most people subbing until the expansion.

Fun enough for us to accept that we don't have the choice to main the job we've waited years for in the full game? I don't think that will happen for most of us that are upset unless it does something crazy like cure cancer. I'm joking of course but would accept it if it cured my MS. lol

Yes, this is what all of us have been saying. We don't want the side content bits of BLU to be torn out, we just want compromise. We want to actually be able to play the job. It's that simple.

How about omega raids, were O1-4 beta tests for O9-12?
Woukd you rather we didnt get Blue Mage at all until 5.2?

Its not beta testing, its just staggered content, a fundamental of MMOs.
