You should trust that it is their current intent, but realize that it's subject to change later down the line, and make decisions accordingly. Loyalty and appreciation are ideas to be sold to customers because it fosters something akin to the genuine feeling in them. They are something to be cast aside if there is a chance of greater profit elsewhere. This is how business works. You are just a source of income and your dollars are not worth any more than anyone else's dollars unless they are available in a greater amount.

Businesses are not your friends. You are not a friend to businesses. Capitalistic exchange is about mutual parasitism. You try to suck them dry while defending yourself from their attempts to do the same to you. You are only "allies" so long as your self-interest happens to align and not a moment longer.
