There are plenty of real reasons to lose trust in the company. Your reasoning behind it, however, just appears flawed due to standards that dont make pragmatic sense. If you want to take a literal position of "Everything said must be honored to the T", youre going to have a lot more disappointment in SE, or any business for that matter.

There is a difference between being upset of a 'promise broken' from 5 years ago about things no longer viable from a different game (almost) that has little to no impact on anything, and being upset from promises made a year or two ago that still have direct on the game.

My blunt honest opinion: Your position seems unreasonable. Unfortunate.

Holding SE to a higher standard than your average kickstarter funded indie is unreasonable. Are these really the kind of arguments we're going to have now?

"His words" in this case seem to be more about what players read into a vague list of things than anything that was actually said. Nothing anyone has posted in this thread has unequivocally shown otherwise.

I would love to hear what is actually vague about their statements that isn't redefining terms because of future knowledge we have now that wasn't there back then. Not all of them are about the earrings but the nature of the event for anyone that's looked into it further.
