    I'm a firm believer in people voting with their wallets if they feel that a particular company has done them a disservice not just because it sends the company a message but because it's excellent for the individual's health and well being. There are countless games out there that people could be playing. Both in terms of single player games and multiplayer games. Not everybody is going to enjoy FFXIV and that's perfectly fine.
    look at battlefield 5 and the Angry Joe nonsense for a not-this-game, but current events example.

    That's largely irrelevant to FFXIV, though. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone here call people out for not 'supporting the game'. If anything, I see a lot of people encouraging players to not throw money at FFXIV. This is particularly true of the recent companion app, which received a lot of - understandable - backlash and has been hit with negative reviews.
