    I don't intend to use them, but deserving them or not is beside the point as they'll be made available. Your feelings about that are immaterial. Regardless, the point is that players who require the game to manage their emotions for them and are highly sensitive to game changes that may potentially diminish their self-worth are in fact a blight on MMORPGs and if it comes down to catering to them or cutting them loose, the game is probably better off cutting them loose.

    The envious souls in this thread are doing what exactly?

    Oh, right. Exactly what you described because an item exists that isn't available. Someone earned it when it was available and they didn't know about it or weren't even playing and it really burns their bottoms.

    "I have to have it because it's in the game, they wouldn't add it to the game if they didn't want me to have it!"
