Then your LS just sucked. During my 6-7 years in ff11 we had them all. SMN is actually a beast now in Asea btw.

ANyway that was ff11 this is f14. Some MMOs pet classes are the best. Mab think outside of the box a little?

They should be done much differently. Many of the MMOs I have played handle pets the same way. I'd like the dev team to have more time working with ideas before they are pressured into releasing them asap.
