Dont give DNO too hard a time Syn. Im sure the dude is nice enough and a good player. We just have to agree to disagree pretty much. Or have Yoshi prove us wrong. No hard feelings summoner and beastmaster would-bes, I just dont want them to exist for the greater good, its not like I hate the idea of pet classes. What I hate are loldrg and lolbst comments and attitudes that are a result of lolballance. Ok lunch is over and im back to work, time to break some poor contractors heart.................. I love my job.
I would like to see more magic classes, from summoner to a debuffer class time mage anyone?
The nice think about the change in skill sets is that it opens up the ability for more different types of classes, which is always fun.
The game needs more classes... My vote is Magic classes first, followed by pet classes, then Melee classes. If I had my wish, they would introduce all three at the same time.giving people options.

I like pet classes, and want one. I want a debuffer in game, and we are losing the one we have. I am all for combining the two. As Delmontyb says though, I am all for more classes in general, and will be happy to take all I can get. I love options.
it should be caster thief and then pets
cause we need another mage class then pets will probably be the most difficult class to balance and take alot more trial and error so save it for last
I'm just going to pretend you actually wrote what my brain thought you did and post my comment anyway.
Problem solved! Thanks, knite23. d(^_^)b
Is it just me, or is it Blatantly obvious that the Devs need to do All three?
The severe lack of balance between mages and melee is pretty glaring.
A lack of Pet class is keeping a Large number of players who love pet based combat away from the game.
and MOST disturbing imo is an MMO without a Thief Class? I mean seriously? WTF. Honestly, I think the Mage and Pet class are more important to Balancing the Games world. We NEED those. But who ever heard of an MMO without a thief class? It is one of the most fundamental staples of the Genre. It has a dedicated style of combat that is laughable when applied to any other class.
There is once itsy bitsy problem though. "Thief" is a Classic Final Fantasy Role. That makes it a Job name. Hasn't Yoshida already expressed an interest in melding it with Ninja? I see how it could work. It even sounds appealing to me. But I wonder how people will react to it..
Hm, for me personally I'd prefer Pet, Scout and Debuffer in that order.
However, looking at game balance, it probably needs to be the exact opposite. There's not going to be any real debuffs after this patch, and while I hate playing mages, I understand the need for that. I'm not going to use the usual internet forum flame language regarding the lack of a scout class, but we could certainly use a traditional dagger using Thief, partly so Gladiators aren't stuck using daggers when they clearly want to use swords. A pet class is secondary, but I personally have the most fun with those out of the three, so hopefully it won't be too long in coming. That said, I don't want Dragoon to be a pet job.
