[Request] Can we have more race-specific hairstyles?

A silly, little (albeit potentially demanding) request... may we please have more race-specific hairstyles? I think it would add to all of the races culturally to have more (updated) race-specific hairstyles.

Edit: if I need to, I could try coming up with concepts/designs, but I'm not sure if they'd be aligned with how FF envisions these races' native cultures.
Edit 2: if you're curious you can read a more in-depth post about my thoughts as to why I'd like this here, but I'm not debating over hair anymore. Hair is hair at the end of the day. xD Feel free to say your own piece. I am still debating... I really need to not look at comments. XD
Update: I'm currently drawing bases of different races and their genders. I might make another thread to post up hair designs, but it'd be for races as well as general hairstyles. It's a little slow-going so it'll be a definite WIP that I'd update periodically. If people are interested, maybe it can be a thread where we all share our designs? Just for fun, no debating or bickering (hopefully).

Yes pls, I've wanted a short hairstyle without a ponytail/rattail that has the scales for Au'ras for the longest time.

I feel the same way I do about race-specific clothes. I don't want more race locked things unless they make sense to be race locked. And aside from some haircuts making Miqo'te heads look weird because of where their ears are, I'm not sure how you make a hairstyle that makes sense on one race but not another.

That is... kind of why I ask for more race specific styles, because many styles do look strange on avatars that don't have normal human ears... and... I am personally more interested in culture and lore than I am about... meshing styles and cultures etc. so everyone can rejoice in the same neutral/grey zone style. We already have so many non-race locked hairstyles and we will continue to get more. As a result, I honestly think we could use more race-specific styles. Especially updated ones for Roes, Elezens, Miqo'tes, etc., because I don't think they've had any updates in years.

Au Ra have horns, Miqo'te have cat ears, Roegadyn have a zig zag shaped hairline, Hyur have small ears which can easily be covered by hair and Elezen+Lalafell have bigger and pointed ears. It would be nice to have hairstyles designed with these unique aspects in mind. Sometimes shared styles just don't work, like the meatball hair.

My only concern would be about how Squeen would find the time to make this happen when they can barely bring in 2 (supposedly) hairstyles in a major patch. If they kept to that same schedule, we'd see 1 or 2 hairstyles for a race, or 1 hairstyle for two separate races, and then wait months for the next race(s) to get (a) new hairstyle(s), leaving a massive drought for updates with each race. If they worked at the same pace, but changed the schedule to release hairstyles for all races at the same time, then we'd basically maybe get 1 or 2 new hairstyles for each race as part of the expansions only.

Aside from my general dislike of race-locked anything (though I can definitely see some merit in cultural-based styles created from various races' real-world background inspirations), this is the major reason I wouldn't support it.

SE has begun to give us less and less, even in the hairstyle department. Unless we could be assured they would make at least 2 race-locked hairstyles (preferably each for a different race, that then gets shuffled around every patch), and go back to creating 4 non-locked hairstyles alongside the race locked ones... I couldn't really support this notion.

Especially if, as they do with glamour items, they primarily focus on one gender - except now add on to it a specific race. In this case, only bothering to create race-locked styles for miqo or Au Ra females.

Because we all know that would definitely be a thing, with their track record.

Miqo'te ears just really do not go well with a lot of the newer hairstyles. It feels like they made them for hyur and just slapped the ears on as an after thought. So I'd like some hairstyles that take them into consideration. They don't have to be race locked or anything, I don't care about that. I just want a nice hairstyle where the ears don't look out of place.

Be careful what you wish for.

As much as I'd like for them to better care for the differences in races, it seems like whenever they do anything we end up with ear pockets on hats or that evenstar boner-tail. I'm not sure they have anyone on staff that knows how to make their own races look good.
