Most wow players didn't touch MC at all during vanilla and frankly aside that there wasn't much more to do, but the thing is they liked playing the game.Sure, I did quit Wow for a reason after all.
But to say that Wow is the same from an expansion to an other is not true. At all.
And on this, FFXIV fail absolutly, since SB is just a reskin of heawensward. There is no new feature at all (Well, there IS swimming, but let's be serious here).
And even Wow players got bored of the formula when Warlords came out, Blizzard had to innovate for Legion.
But I really don't like the way you say most people are spoiled, just like the other post that said to an other player that he would never feel satisfied. It belitlle to much the rising concern for the game.
Especially when we had better during the 2.x patch cycle (just go look at the patch note, see for yourself).
The Msq can be done in a hour, same for the 24 raid. The dungeon ? 30mn top. What is left to do with the patch after that?
Some daylies, and weekly locked content? Maybe some crafting ? Kinda sad, I say.
It's especially sad when you heard your team mates saying, after barely 24 hours of patch, "Patch's done, now waiting for 3.35". Is this something I should really heard one day after the patch? Really, I don't think so.
Compared to that, the Argus patch, or the broken shore patch are absolutly massive. Sure, that's the same formula. But the patch give the players new zones, and new stuff to do. Even few improvement here and there.
And that's coming from someone who really dislike what Wow have become. Plus, it's not because it's worse elsewhere that here is good either.
So, yeah. The game is great when you start it, and still have stuff to do. But when you have done most of it, and waiting for the next patch like a guy in the desert waiting for the rain, you get a little deseperate when you get a few drops.
I lost hope for 4.x content-wise, I'll wait for 5.0 anxiously, wishing that they can shake things up.
As such saying that a content once it's done once it's not important anymore sounds very spoiled to say the least.
