The bulkiest content in 4.3 has yet to arrive.

Still, I'm having a hard time imagining how they intend to hold everyone's interest until late 2019 (Because we're apparently not getting 5.0 for that long according to the business plan they released).

It was ok.. After doing what was needed day 1 I basically went to play another game. I wish the patch kept me invested for a few days.

Mh if this is true than it gives some credit to what yoshida has said about 4.x going longer than 4.5, though this patch not having one of the four lords as a fight was a hint since tecnically speaking they hinted a khoryu fight at the end of the questline and we have only 2 trials left that should be seryu and suzaku

But to say that Wow is the same from an expansion to an other is not true. At all.

And on this, FFXIV fail absolutly, since SB is just a reskin of heawensward. There is no new feature at all (Well, there IS swimming, but let's be serious here).

And even Wow players got bored of the formula when Warlords came out, Blizzard had to innovate for Legion.

But I really don't like the way you say most people are spoiled, just like the other post that said to an other player that he would never feel satisfied. It belitlle to much the rising concern for the game.
Especially when we had better during the 2.x patch cycle (just go look at the patch note, see for yourself).

The Msq can be done in a hour, same for the 24 raid. The dungeon ? 30mn top. What is left to do with the patch after that?
Some daylies, and weekly locked content? Maybe some crafting ? Kinda sad, I say.
It's especially sad when you heard your team mates saying, after barely 24 hours of patch, "Patch's done, now waiting for 3.35". Is this something I should really heard one day after the patch? Really, I don't think so.

Compared to that, the Argus patch, or the broken shore patch are absolutly massive. Sure, that's the same formula. But the patch give the players new zones, and new stuff to do. Even few improvement here and there.

And that's coming from someone who really dislike what Wow have become. Plus, it's not because it's worse elsewhere that here is good either.

So, yeah. The game is great when you start it, and still have stuff to do. But when you have done most of it, and waiting for the next patch like a guy in the desert waiting for the rain, you get a little deseperate when you get a few drops.

I lost hope for 4.x content-wise, I'll wait for 5.0 anxiously, wishing that they can shake things up.
Most wow players didn't touch MC at all during vanilla and frankly aside that there wasn't much more to do, but the thing is they liked playing the game.
As such saying that a content once it's done once it's not important anymore sounds very spoiled to say the least.

While driving to work this morning, I was thinking about what content I needed to play on FFXIV. Aside from Daily Ex, Beast Tribe, and Trial, I am disappointed there isn't something "new" to work on aside from Ex Trial. I really wish that the patch would have dropped with Eureka. That would have been something else to mess around in. It'll be good in 6-8 weeks when there is new content again, but it is kind of a punch to the gut that the big content drop was just MSQ and the 1 raid. Both were great, but man time for more.

    WoW vanilla, really?

Aside from MC, you got UBRS, Scholomance and Stratholme (10 man raids, you could clear them in an afternoon), AQ20, Zul'Gurub (20man raids) and AQ40, Onyxia, BWL and Naxxramas for the most hardcore (40 man raids).
If you didn't account raiding, you still had the long leveling experience, the pvp (outdoor and battleground). And some outdoor zone for farming world drop, and also the great Anh'Qiraj world event. I'm not even counting the numerous event put in place by the community.

Seriously, saying that Vanilla only got MC for end game, it's like saying you only got the Bahamut raid to do for the ARR end game...

And Vanilla was the foundation of WoW. 2 years later, BC was coming, with some major change to it. You can't really say that much for Heavensward, do you?

And I don't think the player you talked to said that a content is worthless once cleared. It's much like about replayability of said content, I think (there's a reason why people think PoTD is good after all). A content can be worthless after one clear, or can still be worth it after the 100th clear. It's all about how the dev' designed it.

In one patch we get Math Blaster, the infamous boss which took 4 hours to kill, a dungeon where you fight the monkey king, and a trial where we get stepped on! (especially the ex) what's not to like?

To me, so far, probably one of the worst patches since A Realm Reborn was released. If not the worst, probably up there with 3.1 or so. Only positive thing about it is how nice the new primal looks, but that's more of a personal thingy, and the gorgeous looking (but staggeringly boring) new dungeon.

I'll corect myself and say ANY raid.
That said by goi8ng with your own point of doing each dungeon once = done forever (which mind you you are comparing an entire format to one patch) you could say that once you've done with patch day dungeon say.....Dire maul would take let's say 3 hours because of how cumbersome the combatr was followed by nothing till mmmmh I honestly don't remember
And no there wasn't a mayor change in TBC, the game was the same at it's core, heroic dungeons were not a fundamental change, nor were 25 man over 40, maybe I'll concede on arena system.
Point is it was the same shit and ppl loved it because of that

For me it’s ok. Msq and trial and dungeon very good. What brings it down for me was the quests until you unlock the 24m raid.

I’m one of those that likes lore, likes to read the story... but this time I couldn’t take it anymore... so so boring, so so long, I got to a point I just started to skip and not read the story. For me you dropped the ball here SE. It was so frustrating that it took me the will to even try the raid yet... maybe today ..
