Cash shop pricing is getting a bit much...

Wasnt it more like the distributor of FF14 in china wanted something to sell but it was still SE that created it? I kinda remember a discussion where someone posted a picture of a chinese exclusive mount that was created by SE. So it still seems that SE creates everything for them but the game itself is sold under a different name. So they are kinda already in SEs hand and used SEs time to create them.

I am fine with these items landing in the shop because we would probably not get them. But I am still very much against the whole pricing of the cash shop (and have been for a time) and I am still quite angry at them selling both carfuncles in the cash shop instead of at least giving one color to us ingame.

I'm not sure why a bundle of optional items should cost more than a finished, retail AAA game.

I've been against this practice for years. I dont agree with it and try my best not to support it, whatever the game may be.

I'm never going to buy anything they add to that store, even if I did want it. I would rather give DE money in Warframe, at least they aren't trying to staddle the fence even if their game is as hilariously buggy as it is.

Call me surprised. A grand total of 1.8% of the total items in the game. You are so right.......the Mog Station is OVERWHELMING! How can anyone EVER play the game without touching the MOG Station, 1.8% is CLEARLY an integral part of the game!!!!

If you want to sight WoW, be sure to qualify that WoW doesn't cash-shop many of it's items as it RMT's it's in-game currency. Which is it's number 1 cash generator.

Maybe you end up with 1.8% if you ignore that most of the things added each patch are recolors between jobs. It's easily closer to 10% or more.

The WoW token is inconsequential to this, it's not causing things to be locked behind even more money than the sub. I would rather have something like it than the disproportionate amount of items in SE's store in a P2P.

Honestly, is it anyone's business to tell others how to spend their own money on their own entertainment? The pricing for mounts and outfits hasn't really changed since the first inception of outfits and mounts becoming a thing on the Mogstation, I believe.

It's not really worth worrying over about what other people do with their money and giving yourself an ulcer, it's none of other people's business frankly.

That doesn't work when runaway habits effect everyone else playing the game because the bean counters now want to cater to those habits. Numerous threads begging for more things to be added to the mog station instead of in-game where most of it should be. Constant downplaying of how bad it actually is.

This is involving with the licencing and depends on how their contract works with S/E.
If contractor paid S/E for exclusive items in their region, S/E can not release else where.

FF14 China is contracted by Shanda Interactive Entertainment, a 6 billion revenue Chinese gaming publisher based at Shanhai.

Correct. I'm not sure where the misinformation stating that these items are outsourced began. Despite being available in Korea and China first, the items are still designed by SE.

You are talking to divinemights though, who will say anything to make SE look better no matter the issue at hand.

They are overpriced, no matter how you spin it, 1 chr should be in the range of 5-10 dollars while account wide is in the range of 12-15 dollars.

SE will get enough money making extra items like this with the extra sales.. it is digital, they do not have overstock or shortages, come on now.
