Cash shop pricing is getting a bit much...

World of Warcraft: Much older game. Cash shop contents: 15 minions, 12 mounts, 3 glamour and 9 paid services. Total 39. Bank space, marketboard app, alts all included free in your sub.

Final Fantasy XIV Mogstation: Cash shop contents: "Displaying 1-40 of 368". Extra bank space, bag space, full marketboard app and alts, premium features in addtion to sub.

Call me surprised. A grand total of 1.8% of the total items in the game. You are so right.......the Mog Station is OVERWHELMING! How can anyone EVER play the game without touching the MOG Station, 1.8% is CLEARLY an integral part of the game!!!!

If you want to sight WoW, be sure to qualify that WoW doesn't cash-shop many of it's items as it RMT's it's in-game currency. Which is it's number 1 cash generator.

Mog Station doesn't have that.

I truly and honestly have no idea how people can defend spending this much on glamour, even if it's optional. Those are some ridiculous prices.
50 bucks is 3 months (or 4 if you're only paying 12) of playtime. Almost the price of a newly released game. I mean, come on guys?
Optional or not, this is a hella bad precedent to set.

Honestly, is it anyone's business to tell others how to spend their own money on their own entertainment? The pricing for mounts and outfits hasn't really changed since the first inception of outfits and mounts becoming a thing on the Mogstation, I believe.

It's not really worth worrying over about what other people do with their money and giving yourself an ulcer, it's none of other people's business frankly.

The game is pack filled with different mythologies and customs. Lakshmi and Sephirot are two Primals off the top of my head that are very obvious in their cultural origins.

Ah yea, you're right. I completely had forgotten about Lakshmi and I definitely knew where and what locale that she was based off of. As for Sephirot though, he was actually based on another lore? Really? I had always thought that SE made him up at least because he was so....off the wall for a Primal and I couldn't really peg him towards any culture/folklore/religion myself.

It would be nice if we could buy the parts of the outfits separate as well as an outfit bundle... the fuga attire was 18 bucks for a top and bottoms... it should have had foit, head and hands as well for the price.... I only wanted the top so it would have been nice to pay like 8bucks for just the top or just the bottoms... I'm not against the cash shop as long its reasonable

It just dawned on me that the entire set is almost the cost of a single game. Cosmetics are nice and all but this is a little concerning. I've played mmos where buying a mount and outfit was waaay cheaper than this. Free mmos too.

People defending this is just getting sad. Honestly. We pay to play this. This is not a free to play MMO. These prices are for free to play cash shop items. They jacked up prices and face it everyones noticing and theres a reason were all noticing this and getting mad. You can say this is a common thing but its actually not and thats why people in the community are complaining suddenly. you can say if people want it bad enough theyll buy it but you really thats a justified answer? No its not actually. 24 bucks for cosmetics in a monthly subscription based game. I love this game and I've been playing for a long time now. 2 mounts for the price of a expansion. is just not okay.

Mounts technically got improved because they USED to be single character, back when there was only 1 mount.

Outfits originally though used to be $8-$12. When the chinese stuff came over, they stuck an exp bonus on it and made it $18, and that's been the norm since. So while Mounts at least became account wide, outfits went up in price and still are single character.

I don't see them as "optional items", I see them as "Additional content".
If the price was lower I would care to buy the additional content, but I rather spend on the sub.
Once I wanted the Witch Broom mount, but the price is too much.
One or another: Lower the price or stop renting dev team for the cash shop additional content.

The cash shop in general has gotten to be a bit much. As someone who has been purchasing items... I'm no longer participating. It will only stop if people stop buying.
