Cash shop pricing is getting a bit much...

Personally I don't mind the mogstation stuff but then I'm fortunate enough to have been able to work hard and efficiently enough IRL to put myself in the position where buying these things isn't really a problem for me.

I do think SE would do well to 'give' a little though. Their pricing policy with regards to this game is a little anti consumer to say the least and I suspect softening their approach overall would do wonders for the community's approval of stuff like this.

For example, making us pay the license fee per client platform. Most other MMOs don't really feel that that is a required evil (SE themselves included with FFXI), however it would be easy enough for them to throw in free subscription time and/or bonus stuff such as gold feathers when you add another client to your account to soften the blow. The same goes with mogstation stuff, making it account wide and offering bundle deals would sweeten the whole arrangement no end.

Even if they continuously balk at account-wide due to such and such an excuse, bundle deals wouldn't hurt them at all. Package three of the Chinese dresses together for $30-35 would likely prompt people to buy them on alts.

Worth mentioning that you actually do get a month of playtime when you add the PS4 ARR to your PC-based mogstation account or vice-versa.

I mean...from my standpoint, I'm a working adult and every now and then I will buy things from the mog station. It doesn't bother me in the slightest as it is right now.

Because the majority of Mog Station stuff at the moment is either 1) stuff from previous events you could've had in-game for the cost of your subscription, or 2) stuff from other regions' versions of FFXIV that the player-base asked to be included in the game.

If these things actually help fund the addition of servers or the hiring of more developers so we can get more content, I've got no problem with that. I do wish we could buy more things in-game with our achievement certificates but that's a whole other thread.

If things start becoming pay-to-win, as in "use this special augmented weapon to cleave Ultimate Bahamut in just one hit for $99" or you start getting those stupid boxes like TERA did with the 1% chance that there's a mount in there, that's the day I unsubscribe.

I do wish Mog Station had sales each time we had an in-game event. So like a Halloween sale on the Eerie stuff...a Little Ladies day sale on the Cherry Trees and blanket, etc.

Yeah, it's a little too expensive. I've got a couple mounts and several dresses i am itching to grab but it's just way way too expensive at the moment. I would spend over 200 euros, that is crazy. i hope they will do a sale soon
