Why are we talking about database issues? The "server limitations" that are mentioned by Square Enix are universally about how much data is transferred to and from the server. It's not a question of being able to store more inventory slots, for instance, it's the ability to process more data per user every time inventory is loaded or updated. Whether the problem is due to initial bad design or something else, solving it is not simple.

We don't need to say it's OK to have these limitations because of their implementation, but we should acknowledge the level of effort that would be required to fix them. They're probably never going to be fixed in this game, so if that's a deal-breaker, maybe play something else?

Eureka is for gearing not leveling...

This is entirely your own opinion as the Industry as a whole has changed, even in MMOs in the last 10 years. Subs fees and all content included is becoming extinct. While I am not happy with the outcome being a longtime MMO player, some practices have become a standard which sadly opens the door to try to pull off other microtransactions.

The majority that support such practices aren't even on this forum, completely silent, and use their wallets. Even confronting friends in a non-rude way can be offense, no matter how you break it down, you are literally telling them how their should control their money.

This forum has become less and less of a voice for NA/EU and is still a minority as well, even if everyone shared the same opinion on the subject. So it would have to take a dramatic measure from the consumer base to stop SE on their trend.

They have been saying that they are quitting, then 14 days for forum -.-; if you have seen their post they are always. 14 days can't come fast enough so just like many of their post they are over dramatic and kind of makes you wonder...IF they hate the game soooo much why even bother posting? Why are they still here....real reason...either hypocrisy ( we know they will be back ) or they have nothing better to do. Even logic will insult most people now a days.

You do realize Eureka is a different Type of leveling right? Did you even read how it works?

Eureka as it is involves everyone running around in the fate train, standing around for most of the time while 6-9 people actually kill the pop mobs, and "leveling" from the exp the fates get you, even though elemental level has nothing to do with actually getting a relic save for upgrading the weapon's final step. (because feathers won't drop if you aren't 19/20.) The leveling aspect could be stripped entirely from the game because the way you advance your relic is just fate drops and the time it takes to get them is what slows you down ultimately. Many people will have a full relic set - the +2 weapon well before they cap elemental level, and the elemental level in gameplay is useless; its just a boost to damage or resistances and effects nothing else.

Like when i thought on it before it launched, I thought we'd need to kill various elemental enemies and fill slots on a magia board in a sphere grid style action, but there's literally none of that. Most of the enemies even we kill only use one type of magia, fire. Many high level fates have fire-based enemies.Even if you didn't match elements, unless you are main tank nothing happens, because elemental level just nerfs your damage or buffs it either way as a hard gate.

edit: boosting means gearing, i thought that was obvious.

I'm not sure where you're going with this anti-eureka tirade... it's sole purpose is for relic gears... they tried to make it a little more involved by giving it it's own content instead of forcing people to redo content endlessly... it's not about leveling alts or whatever... again it's optional content...

My issue is that the content in general for capped combat classes, main and alts. There isn't anything to do. You cap tomes easily, and gearing an alt involves half-afking in Eureka, which isn't fun gameplay for many people. They haven't made engaging content for casuals at level cap, and increasingly people are getting done with leveling as content.

I take it common sense has not dawn that for certain fates, just like in normal ones , your contribution plays a role. So of course if your not lvl 19/20 you don't get drops. Kind of why the big picture is that if your level under 15 mainly your a heal / res bot and others do the work. Lvl 20 are there more support ( not all of some actually do help out ) and kills based on how they are needed and make up for it in fates others can't contribute as much hence the party sharing evaluation. If it's such a big deal just do an xp low nm party on your own. You don't have to stick with train. It's just faster to gain xp. All about choices and common sense. Most of us High levels are just crystal farming and if we have all weps, yes most of us do, we don't really need Pazuzu and just tag along for crystals. If people take their sweet time or choose not to go to Eureka as often I feel sympathy...but the world is not fair...SO make it fair or go at the pace that works.

    Your hate is SUPER misplaced.

Blame the publishers, the shareholders, and the for-more-profit mentality. Don't blame the people getting paid relative peanuts working insane hours making entertainment. They realistically don't see an extra cent from the microtransactions.
