Short of the devs implementing content like this, as others have stated, I can re-sub 2 months before the next expansion and experience all the content without paying for a sub for two years. Lets be honest about the game currently.... we grind out tomestones or weekly raid drops for ilv which doesn't even really matter.

I don't see there being lots to do either... daily roulettes for tomestones which are very easy and fast to cap each week, weekly 8man raids for drops, outdated 24man raids for no reason. Primals.... did them all, old mounts.... have them, beast tribes.... already complete. At this point would would have to claim auxiliary content is enough of a reason to log in... GS, crafting, ect...

Its great that you are enjoying the game. There are many however that are not.... most of the people I know in game barely log in anymore due to the content implemented in 4.x so far. Ultimate carters to a very small segment of the game population, and PvP/Rival Wings never really took off.
What the game offers and what we do with it are 2 entirely different things. How we choose to enjoy what we have is the difference between how people play the game. An MMO on the other hand is all about playing the game with other people, and for that you don't even need to rely on content. You could just hang out and goof off if you wanted! But content can differ depending on the people you play it with, and if you're only playing an MMO to complete it then why are you even playing an MMO? That's what single player games are for.

As for PvP, SE ruined it with the XP rewards. It attracted bots and that ruined the experience for the true PvP community.

The game is extremely stale. The only changes worth looking at come at expansion transitions, then they just fall right back into that same hallway of content they repaint every few months.
Treating expansions that way is honestly akin to just playing a new game. If an MMO has gotten that stale to you then perhaps it is time to move on. Plenty of single player games out there to play and complete or other MMOs to try, although I don't recommend MMOs with a mindset like that. Also if you have come to expect disappointment from a company then why play their games?

Bottom line, I just don't see why people hang around and complain when they're burnt out or they believe content in an MMORPG has gotten stale. It feels like you play the game with a single player mindset and while you obviously have a reason you cling to the game it seems like that reason is doing naught but torment you. I don't blame anyone for distrusting a company, plenty I distrust, but playing their games while distrusting them... You just set yourself up for disappointment.
