It doesn't help that it's a rather common occurrence in the 24 man content to never get a single followup heal after a Res. I've been ressed before and I never got any heals or even protect after and just died 10 seconds later.Actually you can move however much you want after being raised and still retain invuln. I do it all the time. You lose raise invuln after a set period (something like 3 server ticks, ~9 seconds), when you receive a heal/buff, or if you use an action or item.
Be aware that even if you don't take damage, you might still get debuffs associated with the damage. Getting 5 vuln up stacks raising into a load of stacked splats in O6S is no bueno.
SE should modify its rez status. They sgould give us a 10 seconds of translucent and invulneral to any damages from any bosses and add an icon so people get to learn and get used to the new modification. Exception and disregard of our invuln would start if the player start to cast a skill or start to attack. That will give time to the healer(s) tp top that player and the rest of the party. I got multiple in raiding parties were the other healer would just dps or heal the tank while I go to dps/heal/rez and top the one I just gealed. No one noticed who is the one rezzing or healing and just attack the one that didn't heal right. I remember getting the whole party getting damage and got to rez people and gealing them and aoe heals while the other dps/healer kept dpsing and healing the tanka so they would get their support.
True - happens often to me also -BUT you probably were raised by a SMN or RDM. As a SMN I raise people all the time (especially the healers) - but I have no way to heal you. I think that is what potions are forIt doesn't help that it's a rather common occurrence in the 24 man content to never get a single followup heal after a Res. *For all the picky people - yes SMN has Physick - but its next to useless at lvl 70.
I want to add my voice to this. As a Healer even, I had no idea it existed until someone pointed it out in Rabanastre.
I'd actually go further and say that this buff should be set at 5 seconds (roughly 2 GCD actions), should be conveyed visually in some fashion, and SHOULD NOT wear off before that, regardless of any action taken. There's absolutely no reason to make it so sensitive.
A lot of the time I see that happen, it's either a SMN or RDM that ressed the person. While the RDM could heal them, 99% of the time, right after the GCD finishes from the raise, the RDM is right back into DPSing(at least, I know I am right away since most of the time the person being ressed takes a bit too long to get back up...so don't want to stop DPSing longer than that one raise).
You can def move and even perform an action.
There's just a server tick or two that gives you those iframes.

I'd also like to add to this, please don't just accept raise immediately when you get it...look around and think about what mechanics are going on to see if it's safe or not. I pop raise as soon as I can get it off, it doesn't necessarily mean to use it right away
