SE, Please consider removing EX trials from the Mentor Roulette.

Primarily, the mechanics required in an Extreme Trial can't be simplified into party chat. Because of that, whenever an EX trial pops, a few things happen: A party struggles for an hour or so and maybe completes it. Or, more often than not, someone abandons and then once that first person does (and takes the penalty), everyone else abandons as well.

Result: It does nothing but make people not want to queue for Mentor Roulettes because it can easily devolve into a waste of time.

If a player has reached the point where they are ready for EX Trials, they should be looking up guides on their own, making clear parties in the DF, etc. Extreme content was designed for high level play, which quite frankly most of the player base isn't ready for and can't accomplish.

While some people like the challenge of old synced content, and minimum ilvl content, there are far more who do not.

And if we're all being honest, EX content has zero bearing on the main story. It's completely optional content.

Its not a pick and choose situation for mentors.
Dont like it then dont queue mentor roulette.Problem solved.

Depends. I've cleared a lot of Ex primal on mentor roulette. If you have people willing to learn of course. It is not impossible. Also, even if you don't clear, but it servers to progression, it is also valid. You do it because you want help others, not because the reward.

I have to say I 100% agree with Metalwrath on that.

Mentors don't get an easy ride to something. It's MENTOR roulette. If you don't want to do it you don't have to. If I don't feel like spending time teaching people stuff I do not queue for it.

Do I like getting a EX primal in my roulette. No. But ah well, I'd actually had some clears happen and I was happy to get that person their clear.

Each time I queue for mentor roulette I'm actually hoping to get an EX-primal because I feel my time might be spend best there. I've cleared quite a few different EX-trials this way too.

If theres something that should be removed from mentor roulette its guildhests... they dont actually require a mentor. EX-primals are the content that really does - and you want to remove that because you're lazy and want an easy ride...

9 times out of 10 I get a Guildhest in my Mentor Roulette. The one or two odd times I've gotten an EX Primal, you know what I did? ....... I MENTORED THE GROUP AND GOT THEM A CLEAR. Heavens forefend that a Mentor actually have to Mentor...

Thats why I said "if" ;P I dont actually want them to be removed either - just wanted to point out how silly it would be to have Bockmann in this mentor-roulette but not Shiva EX.

Yep. I love making Ex primals work. They're a proper challenge and very fulfilling to mentor through. Whenever I get a guildhest I feel slightly deflated. I relish in the challenge.
