Housing Fix,was a step back

They should just have made one ward in each zone with different plotsize and types and instances for the housing. If you come out of your house you would be in an puplic area like in the Main citys and the wards would be way more populated than they are now. Most of them are like ghost towns right now. Instead of having the balls and redo the whole system they making it worse and worse with every patch.

I think it was great. My wife & I got a small FC house (all we could afford) in Lavender Beds (a gorgeous small plot with a view No 29).

No aspirations for a med or large yet.

Now I just need to con someone on Behemoth into loaning me 3Mil so I can relocate my small personal from Goblet closer to the FC house. LOL

If that plot was in ward 10 on Behemoth then you moved into my old place which was vacated when I relocated yesterday. Great view. Very happy for you!!!

But you would have to place size minimums on houses. Because a five member FC buying a larger house is no different than an individual moving into one. If you’re saying space is the primary concern.

Ward 15, I think. We love it. Took all the gil we had saved up for that and the workshop though lol. Now our problem is getting 4 people in a party to be able to advance the airship project. LOL

Also, now i need to save up to relocate my personal house to a small in a different district than Goblet.

Fun times! Hope to see some other people on Behemoth. We've been plying for a while, but haven't made many friends.

It's absolutely a step in the RIGHT direction. So many FCs were able to relocate/purchase and there's still a ton of plots leftover even today, over 24 hrs later. How could you possibly think this is a bad thing?

Getting your "dream plot" was never even remotely a promise that was made. My "dream" is precisely one spot - Shiro site 7(the mansion on the beach)... id settle for the one in the subdivision(site 37) but not be as happy about it. That means for my dream they added exactly 12 opportunities. I missed out on that due to life. But more then 6 hours after the servers came up i was able to get my favorite spot in the Goblet(my second favorite housing zone) - and it was the first house built in my entire ward. So... problem? I dont see one.

I do not think its a step backwards. While i do agree it wasn't fair to leave out individuals in trying to get a home. I think the one major thing they should of changed was restricted ALL larges to FC only. Does that mean that some fake four man fc's could of gotten a large plot? Sure. but that's SE's fault for giving out details two weeks in advance giving people time to prepare. This is only my opinion though, I just don't see the reason why one person would ever need a large.

I bet even on our server there would of been a large or two left becasue not every FC even have the funds for a large.

I feel its a misconception too think a large FC needs a large house. What size house a FC needs should not be determined by the number of memebers it has; but by the number of people within FC that intend too make routine use of said house. Having a 150 memeber FC and a large house with less then 10 people actually using it is kinda of a waste of gil; Considering a medium would better suit that number of people.

The part that's most worrying is the restrictions on personal housing and I feel like SE gave a warning that personal housing would be disabled for quite some time but that's never the way to go, imo. The best way to go would have been to notify the players exactly when it is going live.

The system has been to grossly abused for these years for them to want to assign dates to everything. Plus, every time wards have been added, the log-in rush was such a nightmare it was causing mass stability issues on SE's end and making it less about ward limitations and more about internet speeds. Kugane was more or less the last straw of the player base's tolerance over housing.
