Last I heard on the subreddit there were still smalls left. That is unheard of on Balmung.

There are massive amount of smalls left. Outside of Shirogane, most wards in the other three districts are 50%+ empty. I don't know if there are any mediums left, but those at least lasted nearly 24 hrs after they were released.
There are still a few Goblet mediums left!
I guess I just don't see the problem with starting out with a small plot, much less a "dream plot" -- because that's exactly what my FC did. We were overjoyed to have a house at all, and then slowly worked our way up to the Large we have now.
This won't be the last time wards and houses are added.

To the O P I don't know if you have checked since you made this thread but there are still a ton of Smalls available in goblet and a lot available in lavender beds and some in the Mist as well heck even Shirogane has some Smalls available. There are mediums available in lavender beds goblet and yes the Mist. However all the large and medium in Shirogane are taken.

As of Right now 3:30 PM Central GMT February 13th, 2018 the available housing on Midgardsorm is as follows:
Lavender Beds:
SMALL: 335
MEDIUM: 35
LARGE: 0
Goblet:
SMALL: 337
MEDIUM: 94
LARGE: 3
Mist:
SMALL: 299
MEDIUM: 28
LARGE: 0
Shirogane:
SMALL: 81
MEDIUM: 0
LARGE: 0
TOTAL:
SMALL: 1052
MEDIUM: 157
LARGE: 3
Seems like well over just a 'few' houses left. I think you have only yourself to blame if you can't be satisfied with any one house in over 1000 available homes that you would rather be homeless and complain than to just have a home and transfer later. You and a handful of players dissatisfied with housing are simply unwilling to settle for a house you feel is beneath you and your standards.

I think what OP is referring to is that people who already owned plots got PRIME pick along with FCs so no GOOD plots are left in Shirogane. None. There are smalls. No mediums or larges. it hurt all those who don't and/or have never owned a house and wanted a decent (not just a small) plot in Shirogane. They gave preferential treatment to those that already had houses... even if they already owned multiple houses... to compete with the FCs. Who were they trying to help? If they were trying to help the FCs they should have locked out individual transfers. If they were trying to help everyone, they should have just let it be another free for all that dropped on a weekend so most people would not have work the next day and everyone would have a fair shot. This is why it is a huge problem.

Plus they still have that selling moratorium and even when that stops, you still won't be able to sell directly to another individual which means paying, likely, 3-4x the original price for that plot you want that isn't a small.

Don't try to aim for a specific dream plot because other people are going to be targeting that same plot even if there are no restrictions in place. Can never guarantee being the fastest person. Just feel lucky if you manage to get any plot of any size, and the option to move will be there for you next time.
Im pretty sure they allowed previous owners the ability to relocate to help reduce the mad dash congestion that usually happens at Housing Hunger Games.
I know now that I was able to upgrade to a medium, that's one less person trying to log in when the rest of housing goes live...and im sure many other people as well.
