I hate to say this but ugh... they should make it like FFXI. As long as you have the job leveled, you can use that piece of glamour on another job. This is only in regards of the cross-glamouring.

I am pretty sure they will make this whole glamour dresser thing better with time and it's going to end up being the default choice. So all we can do as a community is address what we don't like about it with criticism that isn't based on rage. They first started with getting rid of the grades of glamour prisms, then they made all glamour prisms obtainable through the grand companies, now they shoved all types of prisms into one single thing and added the dresser. It's pretty clear that SE is slowly wanting to make the whole glamour system less of a hassle. I do think the execution of the system is flawed, however I can see the many ways in which it can improve and end up being what so many people want it to be.

Just think of the dresser as a beta version of a big, better system that is yet to be implemented in future patches. Not 100% what people expected, but also not too far from it.

I think it's fair to say it's not a complete system, but I'd rather them put it out now as an incomplete system that only solves one or two problems, than wait until it's perfect and release it at the start of 5.0. It's not as if they've made the old system harder. If anything, just getting rid of all the different categories for prisms is a welcome enough change to make everything worth it. I think in a patch or two, most things will get fixed.

Has anyone tested whether you can use plates to have the same item dyed different ways for different plates?

I was playing with this last night, and I figured out you can dye the piece in the dresser itself and it will stay that way and persist when you add it to any plates, and you can also dye them individually in their respective plates after they are added. So my expensive dye I left on the piece in the dresser itself, then I can change the dye if I want to without worrying about losing it once it is on a plate. It's rather handy the way it works, actually. I have no issues with it so far.

Not a fan of it. 200 slots and 10 plates is not enough and not being able to put the glamour items that come from the Vet awards in there is annoying too. Its not as fluid and efficient as I hoped it would be and I learned that using the plates completely writes over the glamour you had in the first place so that is even more annoying. I hope eventually they add some things to make it better but for now its kinda annoying and I regret putting things in there.

I saw that but in order to put them in the armoire they have to be 100% spirit bonded right ? each single item? Does that take a long time to do? I've never really used the armoire cuz I found it kinda confusing

To put items in the armoire(unless they changed it), they need to be 100% in condition. Spirit bonding gets reset to 0% if there is any when put in.

are people really this bothered by people's glamour choices? really? in a series where the average protagonist is likely to wield a sword and no armor?

... Yes, e.g, I don't want to play with a tank wearing the same healer outfit I'm using during that duty, it might never happen but without restrictions to glamours it's a possibility and as***les would do that precisely to bother anybody else!...

If you want unrestricted glamours then we must also get an option to disable glamours on every other player in the game so they will show what they are actually wearing and nothing else!...

As for tanks doing their jobs in bikinis, etc., that's because those glamours have been created without restrictions in the first place and it's up to players to decide how to use them!...

200 item limit is way to small. Especially, with the new glamour mini game in the Gold Saucer. People are going to fill that up super quick. I really hope they're going to expand that at a later date.
