Note that macro doesn't work outside main cities/housing areas.

So the glamour plates just seem to be a way to do the old system quickly and without prisms.
So just like in the old system applying a new glamour would remove the old one, so will this.
Just like in the old sytsem, the only way to remove a glamour is to use Cast Glamour while having a Glamour dispeller, so will this.
Because it's not a new system, just a new way of casting the existing system.
For people who already have tons of outfits, using the existing glamour prisms is probably easier.
For people like me who have stayed away from glamour and might only have just a few outfits, this will be ok (for example I just made myself an outfit using only armoire items that are for "All classes", so I can literally have all my jobs with the same armor look by applying the plate to each, that's kind of cool).
Might do that, thanks for the info.Yeah, this is not working the way I was hoping. As the OP said, don't overwrite our existing glamours. Let the Glamour Plate be an overlay that has a higher priority than normal glamours.
With this system, I think we need at least 20 plates and the ability to change plates outside of city-states.
All of this could have been much easier and better if FFXIV used the glamour system of Xenoblade X (or the Fashion Gear as they call it in that game). Each playable character has an extra set of equipment slots that overrides the appearance of the normal equipment slots. Have that as a base and expand from that.
You can make a macro that changes your gear set and glamour plate at the same time.
/gearset change X Y
X = the number on the gear set you want to change into
Y = the glamour plate you want to use
You can also add
/macroicon "X" gearset
so the macro icon is the job/class icon.
Is there a reason this thing just ignores my summoner relic? Like I want to make a glam for my summoner yet is not letting me convert my book
I'm just waiting for an update in a future patch where the glamour dresser no longer destroys the gear you glam, and the ensuing rage.
I don't think anything was mentioned about this new system overwriting current glamours, so it took me by surprise. I was ready to nuke one set despite being 60 4-star gear I crafted, but I'll be damned if I nuke my raid drops.
Looks like for the time being, I'll be sitting out with this new feature until it's improved
my feed back so far. More plates, make putting gear in reversible
And add hairstyles!
kthankz bye
Put the Cloud stuff in the other chest for special items and event stuff.
Go to dresser.
Click on the option to open other chest.
Apply your cloud stuff to a plate.
Doesn't matter if the system just came out, it's trash. Also, they should keep working on the system until it is user friendly and doesn't destroy items or the glamours already on equipment. It's a good thing that any system one game created can be completely recreated in any game. /s
It JUST came out. Systems that have been done in other MMOs can't just be replicated without actual testing and growth. Use the system, report the issues, let grow. Or just keep the salt following. I don't care.
This system is trash and should have been deleted the second it left QA.
I welcome the glamour dresser with open arms. it's about time something like this was implemented. I don't like how it destroys items that you put in either....sounds like an unnecessary step to me.
By the way why is no-one complaining about the class restrictions on glamours? For example as a warrior I want to put on a body piece restricted to black mage... I find it mildly infuriating that I can't even though it's in the glamour dresser.
It's 2018 for crying out loud. There shouldn't BE class restrictions for items turned into glamour. there are no class restrictions on converted items in rival games such as:
1. World of Warcraft
2. Guild Wars 2
3. RIFT
4. Blade and Soul
5. Aion... ah what the heck, the list can go on forever.
So why does FF14 have it? to be a nuisance ?
