Please Reconsider MSQ Changes

Frankly, I love these new changes. It serves people right for just speeding through the dungeons and ruining the experience for the new players. Just the other day, my free company and I queued up with a total of seven people, and our eighth was a new player. We granted him the full experience instead of just speeding through, and he was having the time of his life.

Maybe people should learn to be more selfless instead of griping about changes that their own actions basically forced.

You know some players have a job and other stuff to do, I have limited time to play every evening, not going to put up extra 4O mins.

I've ran MSQ a thousand times, always to help others (and going in as tank so they don't wait), but you know what no problem to me, I never ran it for personal gain anyway. Have fun waiting!

Would you feel the same way when you queue and get the dreaded: "Average wait time: More than 30 minutes"? Because that will inevitably happen now.

You can harp on people not being selfless but these cut scenes are upwards of an hour long. You can't reasonably expect a group of random strangers to just wait around that long while you watch cut scenes.

Adding on this this;
"And then do it at least every single other day". Also back to a previous point made, what if the newbie just doesn't care and would rather get it done with? What about those with different reading speeds, meaning one person gets done with the cs sooner than another and also find themselves just sitting around? not to mention those who will flat out go afk in a cs.

In making it a solo instance, it is a solution that appeals to all. New players who want to experience the story can, those who don't can get it over quicker, and for older players we don't have to stress over it anymore.

I get that all the time as a DPS ... I just watch You Tube or read a book until my turn comes up .... heck I've waited over 80 minutes and no one wanted to do Urth's Fount with me /cries

We shall thank you in advance for volunteering yourself and your FC for running ALL MSQ roulettes on your datacentre for every new player that needs to get through, starting next week until a dev change to the system or we reach the end of our time in Eorzea.

Teaching some people a "lesson" at the cost of multitudes of others? This is such a strange, strange post.

This is a bad solution to a failed aspect of the game, which will directly effect the people you claim to "help". Your intent doesn't sound like you want to help new people with this statement at all, it's to harm everybody else- speedrunners or not. The queues will be agonizing for everyone- including the newcomers, people will probably votekick the new people who are bothering to read once the people who intent to boot them finish clicking through the dialogue, ect.

The entire population of the game shouldn't be put behind a wall like that.

While I don't agree with "punishing speed runners" I do agree with the choice overall. We all deserve to relish the story, we all paid the same minimum rate. It's a part of the story...I for one will continue and enjoy running these duties and helping my fellow leafs out "yes even over and over" I would want the same if I were just running it for the first time. Also, yes I have a life, have a job and the likes and only get about a hour or two per day except on weekends. I will still continue to que and help the needy out, that's just the person I am. I also understand the salt people have about having to watch the long cut scenes.
