Why can't we just game in peace and let SE do what they do. Every change made is from some sort of complaint or gripe and ppl neglect to recognize this. OMG BLM his hard buff SMN. OMG now SMN out does BLM, nerf smn. Nerf BRD they hit hard, more support less dps, omg we hit so soft, more buttons more dps. Ppl will never be satisfied

1. Because they repeatedly ask for our feedback and consider it
2. Because when your main job falls out of favor, you either get to switch jobs or quit the game, based on the multiplayer experience
3. Because sometimes the developers of the game, despite rigorous testing/careful planning, can't grasp the implications of balance when put into the hands of millions of players
4. Because we're antsy and want to know what in the world they're going to do to fix the class already (they've already directly said that the class will be getting fixes)
5. It's also fun to discuss.1. Because they repeatedly ask for our feedback and consider it

I mean we can't expect a clear skies when all we do is rain on their parade lol. It is fun to discuss but they stress like we do, they ask for feedback but that's always gonna be what they do, its never gonna be perfect. I'm all for discussing. But there has to be a clear sign of cool. There isn't a lick of cool in these forums. I understand all of them but we shouldn't read into everything like it has to be this or that. Locking out a person for their job choice, that's not cool. A BLM as a caster in any game offers little to no support for their team, whether in terms of buffs or what. There is still a formula that they want to follow as well, asking them to deviate would be an insult, and only add to the already hard load they have running an MMORPG
AoE barrage on Foul would be sickkkkk
But still I'd rather see the adjustment to Freeze and potency increases otherwise. Particularly with Flare and its diminishing return. It's super harsh right now.
@Fan: A BLM in a single-player game requires zero "support" because there is no such thing as balance in a single player game. This is an MMORPG where class balance is not only a thing, but paramount to enjoyment of the content, particularly at the highest end of play. Consider that in the most recent interview, the developers apologized directly specifically to "BLM mains" for the odds being stacked so far against them for the current Ultimate trial. Again, they ask for our feedback, there is no "insulting" going on (or little, at any rate).

I speak more specifically of Power Surge.
Life Surge can be used without terrible detriment on any of the 5th finishers or Full Thrust. Kaiten at least has multiple uses of Iaijutsu and Barrage doesn't specifically state "only use on Refulgent Arrow".
That being said, I'd consider them all to be on the chopping block moving into the next expansion.
Given that Refulgent Arrow now exists (finally), I'd say Barrage is perfectly safe from " the chopping block", but only time will tell.
Besides, you COULD use a double-potency for Thundercloud or even Fire IV if it was an emergency, or whatever, so the same logic applies.
