Imbalalnced?

Is the current game imbalanced? Like are some classes more favorable then others? Been seeing a lot of very elitist posts "so and so is useless" this and "so and so is better than so and so" that, yea SE sucks at balancing and I main of the most frowned upon jobs (that I didn't know until a nice Savage party told me to leave) but is it really that big of a gap?

Seems like balance is more off in pvp, but for pve there isn't any game-breaking imbalance. Some compositions are faster, but any composition can clear any content, except maybe stacking the same jobs like 2x whm, 2x drk, 4x blm for some reason in an Ultimate fight.

short answer yes and yes. In some cases not as bad you think and in other cases the skill ceiling of the job is causing the imbalance.

Yes, some class are better than others in a certain group composition.
So imbalanced, in a way yes.

However... and this is really important to remember this. Today, you can pretty much clear every kind of content, with any comp or class (of course, you'll avoid having the same class in your group, but that's logical).

Only Ultimate Coil of Bahamut right now need a solid and really good comp (so adjusting to have good raid buff).

If a Savage party told you to leave because you're mch (from what i see in your profile), it has nothing to do with that (cause mch isn't even bad lol).

Yes, it is. You can still clear stuff, but there is a big difference between an optimal comp and a non optimal comp.

However, there is a bigger difference between a good player and a bad player.

So now just static facts about raw numbers is elitist, eh?

No job is useless and you can clear everything on any of them, but there are some that are far too good (ranged meta) compared to others (BLM for example).

Almost any composition is viable to clear content so it is balanced to some degree however, some compositions are much easier than others so it's not balanced very well. This applies to all PVE content but you will notice it more in content that you don't out level, the most interesting thing is, that it's not classes that do the most damage that most preferred.

Emphasis mine. The classes that synergize well together are the ones most in demand. And MCH is in one of the more popular compositions, so i dont see why someone would kick you just for that.
