Sometimes when I'm healing a dungeon, and a tank is pulling slowly and DPS pulls ahead, the tank will pull the whole "you pull it you tank it thing", so I'll start healing the DPS too. I can usually keep them alive too so long as its only a handful of mobs.
I don't normally main healers, so these moments where I get to watch tanks rage out when they realize I spoiled their little powerplay is literally the best part about healing for me.

Harassing the tank will not make the run any better. If I am a healer and a dps pulls more than once, I stopped healing them. If I am tanking, I let them tank it. Normally, I dps, so I would just call them out to stop harassment. It's worse in certain dungeons like Sohm Al.
Consider the alternative of kicking the harrassing member. This gives them the chance to stop. DPS queues are long.

It’s more of an all DPS thing. Why are you only picking on the ranged ones?

I have a bit of mixed feelings for this. On one hand, I do get peeved when I see someone other than the tank pull another group when the tank is already holding a decent amount of enemies. I have also seen tanks who do not use their AoEs enough or at all to hold enemy attention which forces DPS to protect the healers. I get that all the player members want the run done as fast as possible. Just remember that trying to enforce the group to do it your way when it will cause a wipe for the situation (eg. someone is fresh geared or the level sync locks out AoE usage on melee) will make the run take longer than playing it safe.
As for the 5 - 10 second rule, that isn't a thing for WoW anymore. Only for Classic and Burning Crusade since threat was lower during those times. Wrath of the Lich King made adjustments to reduce the problem with lower DPS threat multipliers and Misdirect / Tricks of the Trade from Hunters / Rogues to give threat to tanks. Now in Legion, tanks have a threat multiplier of about 10 for ANY damage they do. Only time DPS will snag aggro is if they pull first and run around headless chicken style or they severely over-gear the fresh geared tank with 2nd or 3rd tiers of Mythic Raid armor.
No, it isn't.This idea that tank is the sole pace setter is so silly.
Some people prioritize comfort over speed. They won't get their comfort if they keep letting their party walk all over them, so that is their (and my) form of protest.I don't know why tanks still feel the need to sit back and let people die if they pull a little more, intentional or not. It's just slowing the run even more than your slow playstyle was already.

I've played tank in both this game and WoW, DPS don't need to wait 5sec just because you don't know your rotation. WoW my DPS would go full ham on bosses and I've never made them wait to DPS nor have I had people hold their DPS in this game either, worst comes to worst I just Provoke off the DPS and use an Emnity combo......unless you're one of those tanks that pulls with Provoke, which if you read the tooltip, does absolutely nothing when you pull with it other then just yelling at the boss. The only point where I sort of agree is when you got DPS pulling stuff you didn't want to pull. Which is understandable if you aren't comfortable tanking big packs yet or if the healer is new and you're taking it easy on their behalf.
What if I told you.....you can be comfortable AND fast at the same time?
Seriously dude, it's a question of using your skillset to it's moderate (not even exceptional is required) potential.
This. Bard AoE potential drops like a rock the less mobs there actually are around to DoT. A bit ironic, that.Tanks get exactly 0,01s and then it's go time. 8)
On a more serious note: I have barely ever seen a ranged do the actual pulling. What I have seen are ranged tagging mobs between pulls, but consider this: a Bard in particular wants to single dot several adds during pull and double dot the biggest one before transitioning into spamming AoEs. As long as the tank manages to tag all mobs at least once, aggro should not be an issue and the pack of adds will [b]a lot[\b] faster when the tank stops and the aoe nuke ensues.
Good tanks actually take the forementioned fact into account and make sure that everything gets properly tagged when pulling.
Then again, not many bards even know how to abuse that concept, so I don't blame tanks for not being aware of this.

TFW it's a team game and everyone loses when people start getting petty.
TLR of this thread is that tank is entitled and doesn't do his job because he is "doing us a favour by being a tank".
Oh noes! You didn't properly mitigate that hit! I better stop my DPS and watch you eat dirt so that we all wipe to the enrage and start over!
