Too many empty houses

Housing is expensive. Furniture is expensive, too. Making furniture yourself is time consuming, too. It takes time to decorate a house for some people, especially if they only just had enough gil for the house itself. I saw some plots stay empty for awhile and suspected foul play and scalpers, but soon realized after awhile when they bought a house permit and it was owned by the same person... they probably just struggled to get that extra cash.

Sure, if it's been years and the house is empty ok. I get you. But Shirogane has only been out less than a month. Also it may take some time to plan your designs out as well. Give people some time. If they locked the house, you wouldn't even notice the difference... Anyway, I say this as someone who absolutely hates when people buy a house and don't decorate it at all (because I feel it is a waste, but I don't think they should lose their house for it). I think to complain about it less than a month after the new housing is released is a bit too soon. (And again, if they just locked the house you wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway, even if it sat like that for months so who cares?)

As others have mentioned, there is an inactivity timer already in place. Although it is currently paused at the moment.
