    I'd be fine if there were restrictions on this.

    A personal house should be allowed to become an FC house assuming the owner is part of the FC. The FC should be allowed to let the house become a personal house for that owner again, so that way the original owner can get their house back if something happens with the FC. A tweak to permissions would probably be a better solution, though.

    That said, I don't see another valid reason to let the FC give the FC house to a person - as that activity smells of house flipping.

    IMO a vanilla house should be part of the cost of the plot, so at least there's SOMETHING there.

    This was the case for me when I bought my house. I hadn't been playing for very long so getting gil was a slow process as I leveled my character, retainer, gathering and crafting. Same for furnishing the house. I would say it took about 6 months to look reasonably furnished. You also have some players that only get a house for the garden and Chocobo stable which I see nothing wrong with either.
