What you say is pretty correct, but only down side is MMo are community based games. If the community sucks it ruins the game. In mmo yes it about fun... but with pother players. Multi player isn't solo. Its playing with or against other players. Like you can't solo (oldy but a goodie) jamse bond 007 golden eyes capture the flag multi player map. It would be pointless. Same with little big planet, its more fun with other players.

It is easy for bad apples tto ruin your fun. They just spread drama and make it hard for you to get anything done. Like I was stalked in ffxi and dealing with high school min/max drama. I couldn't log on for a while cuz when I did I was harassed. My black list was full.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to deal with that sort of thing. :< That really puts a damper on a gaming experience, amongst other things. It rather reminds me of one thing I always tell myself when I play a game: "If it becomes a job to play it, or is otherwise no longer fun, then it is no longer worth my time." Sour experiences with an MMO's community can really ruin a game.

I had actually been in FFXI for a good time up until everyone started to leave. I was still rather new and hadn't made much progress due to limited game time, and there was a two week period where I didn't even log on due to work and family. When I DID log on, everyone was gone. The LS I was in was dead, and the friends I had been really happy to play with, well, I never saw them again. After server hopping and continuing to see my friends quit, I just gave up on the game. :<
