I think it was stated it manipulates time and space? I think space rather than time, my bad there. Still, so far feels like it will be more of a - fight various FF bosses than have direct connection to the MSQ. It's too early to say and I don't want to jump the gun. It's just the vibe I get from it so far.

We don't read or watch guides.

The half of our group changed jobs/roles with Stormblood.

We do raid for just 3x 2,5 hrs a week.

We are close to beat Exfaust to see the onliest savage exclusive "boss" in this tier.

Missing the time we needed 5-6 month to finish a raid. For more casual groups like ours, the demand in practise time of older raids was much better IMHO.

Like Karsten, my static insisted on going in blind. We...

    - Downed V1S in a single lock out
    - Downed V2S the following night
    - Downed V3S on week two
    - Downed Exfaust week four
    - Currently on Grand Cross Omega for Neo

We only have two scheduled raid days for roughly 5-6 hours; with potential optional days made on a case by case basis. The fact we cleared V1S with ten deaths and V2S where everyone died except the Red Mage, who rezzed a healer, who LB3 and we salvaged the fight from there speaks volumes to just how easy they are. Now I wouldn't want three month long progs, but the first two fights shouldn't be over in hours; less for lot of groups. Despite being midcore, we would have been on Exfaust week one if people's schedules weren't full.

Our group also did O1S blind, and downed it in 5 attempts. O2S we had done within the week too, though we didn't get 3 until week 3 and we're currently wiping to enrage on Exdeath (might get it this week, have made to 61-62% multiple times).

We raid 3 nights a week for two hours each though - 6 hours total. I laugh whenever people suggest you have to be some no-life neckbeard to see success at raiding in this game.

We raid once a week, 2 hrs. We dont have a full roster, so we have to PF or queue for a healer and a tank a lot of times. O1S was down first week, O2S next for some of us (more ppl missing). We are supercasuals, ALL of us except the maintank switched jobs, and nobody was fully geared.

We are the "99%", and its still too easy and boring content.

Again Id ask if this content wasnt puggable and was as hard as you guys wanted for anyone that wanted to raid if it was even harder , then we would be left with laksimi and sasino. Im sorry but its alot more casual players thats not in as static that pug this content, and Id rather it be puggable than not and leave everyone else with no content to do at all.

Also stated now I didnt do these on min ilvl but the first coil turn did that take everyone days , did the first boss in Alex take days or weeks then if they didnt then there really is no argument here. Its no way that the first coil turn took hardcore players more than a day I just simply wouldnt believe that one, but I just really wish people on these forums would think about the whole game instead of just themselves.

Ive yet to hear tons of people in game complain about how easy this content is, most people say that three and four arent even puggable at all, so if thats the case then whats wrong with how things are now. Do you think all four of these fights plus getting a super savage is warranted if it almost required a static to do , I would think thats bad game design, I would say that V1s, had more going on than A9s and that was the last raid tier we had before this one so why all the complaining?

My problem with FFXIV raiding is longevity and quality of drops.

A 6 month cycle for each tier (4 savage, 2 primals, 1 alliance raid) is just too short. The new tier hits before you know it, and endgame gear is so underwhelming that it hurts. It's just a HQ version of normal gear that you can dye. It's boring.

I think this game would benefit from a 1 year raid cycle.(4/8/16 man fights. 24 is is just a pain in the ass and is just too hectic) and 3-5 endgame sets to mix and match from. I also think endgame gear should have special bonuses. Either it enhances abilities or traits, increase stuff like kenki gain by +1 or recovers mana/hp/tp over time, set bonuses can help too within reason, like limiting the effect to 2-3 pieces on to trigger it. Said gear should be atleast situationally useful through out the life of the expansion. Making the usefulness of a drop go up from 6 months to 2 years.

    But oh well.

Are you dragging Exfaust dead center for Black Holes? A lot of groups don't, but it makes things easier uptime wise. If your melee don't have Arm's Length as a role action, tell them to take it so they can cheese Vacuum Wave. Every little bit helps at those percentages.

I am a firm believer people suck at this game because it hand holds you endlessly. There is no incentive to improve. If we had a proper difficulty curve throughout all content, this wouldn't be nearly the same issue. Frankly speaking, normal mode shouldn't be an absolute joke. This way players who cannot commit or simply aren't interested in a harder challenge, still have something to work towards. Savage, meanwhile, shouldn't be entirely inaccessible. Gordias did no one any favours. Midas, on the other hand, was a solid tier that with some mild tweaks, particularly to A6, could have easily remained the de factor Savage.

All that being said, XIV needs more content in general. Everything being made easier only means we have far less to do long term. While I am not bored per se, it's more due to social interactions than content.

Well that truly is not much, especially since this should be the hardest content ingame, which also normally needs a static and quite the dedication to clear it..comparing these rewards to all the stuff that PVP and hunts get is truly saddening.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
