Love the expac's story though.

They straight up said no for this expansion. Same old formula. You can pretty much plan out your activities for the rest of the expansion.
COMBAT MECHA! Au Ra women in catholic schoolgirl uniforms! Uh, uh, explosive energy ki wave mega grenade yakuza car chase SWORD FIGHT! With nuns!
Here's the problem with them changing things up...It's half baked or boring.
I present you with:

Diadem was DoA.
PoTD is still in use for many, but it is not fun at all, and only used to curve DPS Q times
and/or take advantage of the massive EXP to be gained there. So boring.
PS. Does anyone still use Aquapolis? [SP?] I knew it was good for the initial launch.

how do you suggest they shale things up ?
think the main issue is that no matter what se brings out the player base will destroy the content in a few days and will see post like this ha , this was the bulk of the content for the whole exp and most people where done week one. I dont think its anything the devs can ever really do tbh hah
Stop talking like leveling other jobs is "content". we're talking about actual content, something you log in and can do to progress your character in some form that give you an edge in harder content.I'm also curious about the lack of content mentioning...does it mean you have finished ALL class leveling(every one of them, crafter and gatherer included, to 70), and therefore have none of that stuff to do? Did you get all the ARR relics, all the HW relics, all minions/mounts/achievements? To me, there is always content because I don't have all that stuff, and always have something to work towards. Which might just be the completionist in me talking.
This is exactly what Yoshida was looking to create. He has said it before: he does not wish to create a game that requires you to log in everyday because he firmly believes you cannot reasonably do this. He wants people to be able to play other games, or socialize without feeling like they are bound to the game. Yoshida believes it makes the game boring. The issue at hand is people play MMOs like they are addicted and constantly need something to feed their addiction.
Hes in for a rude awakening similar to 1.0 when he realizes this kind of content delivery and design is stale and boring and will cause a huge loss in player-base once something better releases. This is exactly what Yoshida was looking to create.
